Well, if it were between your home and your wife, which would you choose?

/me realises full well what a good number of the male Farkers would say anyway

FTFA: the town allows only one Vietnamese pot bellied pig per household

Sounds reasonable.

Well, yeah. Given the choice between food and shelter, you always pick food. You can build shelter on a full stomach a lot easier than you can scrounge for food on an empty one.

Unless you're thinking of living off of pig milk, there's a way to solve both problems.

It's not easy to milk a pig. First you have to get her drunk...

/wonders if anyone will get the reference

If someone said I'd have to give up my pets or move, I'd move.

I don't own a pig, but it doesn't really seem that crazy that
the guy would choose to live elsewhere.

When I'm renting, I first check with my landlord to make sure that he's okay with me getting a pet. I then check with others in the area to verify it's legal for me to keep pets (for example, a "homeowners association" where I once lived in didn't allow dogs, only cats).

I'm not saying he shouldn't move or not move, I'm just saying he should have moved before or shortly after getting the pig. Pigs don't grow to 300lbs overnight, and in all likelihood knew (or should have known) about the ordinance he was violating.

He should sow salt spelling out "strawberry forever" into his lawn before he moves. It won't be noticed until spring and wrecking your own stuff before you sell it as long as it is not a danger to the buyer and in playing site is perfectly legal.

\and the salt would stay for a couple of years in the soil so even sod wouldn't grow there

Strawberry is like one of their children. That IS different than most families where the children are little pigs.

Yeah, same here. Kudos to the guy for taking care of his pets, but he may should've checked on the rules before getting the pig. Might have saved everybody some grief.

/figured the thread would be purely "bacooooooon!!!" posts

I see what you are saying but in fact there are real ranches in Florida, and no they are not in any got-damned master-planned covenant-controlled community.

Sorry to correct, I just don't want any of our hard working rancher folks to feel belittled.

-I just wanted you to see the pig I've been sleeping with.
-That isn't a pig. It's a sheep.
-I wasn't talking to you.

Am I right that the law is they're only allowed ONE pig per household, implying that there is a mysterious "other pig" this guy won't even consider getting rid of? Or are they counting Strawberry as two pigs? I mean, 300 pounds is kind like two pigs.

Weird.

Well it says they only allow one Vietnamese pot bellied pig per household...And little Strawberry is a Yorkshire pig...not sure what the difference is

Bubba knows what to do to a pig. Just don't do it live on the air.

lajimi [TotalFark] 2009-11-15 02:13:27 PM
Step 1. Hire a lawyer
Step 2. Have lawyer get an injunction forbidding the town from further action pending litigation
Step 3. Stall, stall, stall for the lifetime of the pig
Step 4. Sue the town for intentional infliction of mental distress
Step 5. Profit
