Technically the "past a cop" part isn't even needed. I mean the logic is pretty sound up to that point in the headline.

I got pulled over with 3 lbs in my trunk when I was 19 for failing to signal at a turn, I was shiatting bricks. Wasn't paying attention to the rear view for a couple minutes, though I think the copper was probably behind the car behind me. You try to drive safe with weight like that, but a lot of these idiots drive like they do with no snuff on em. Ended up playing it off and skated without a ticket, but I was shaking for a couple minutes after that.

Pretty sad, when you see headlines like this, it's a goddamn plant. At least it's not that guy driving on the wrong side of the road with 100+ pounds of heroin, though.

As pointed out in another thread, most stoners never exceed the Weed Limit: either 35 mph or 10 under the posted limit. This guy must have been doing meth or something equally speedy.

I remember when I used to smoke & drive (before moving to the Big City and ditching the wheels), at times I'd find myself going about 5 under and observe a cop in the rearview, probably running my plate number. I'd speed up to the posted limit and he'd lose interest eventually. In fact a cop acquaintance once told me that they are adept at spotting stoners by their sluggish driving habits.

Yes, a friend of mine bought just two ounces in February, smokes every night and still has over an ounce left. Even if you smoked joints like cigarettes, it'd take a good long while before making even a dent in a stash that large.
