Well Wisconsin is off to a good start. I hope you guys win today over Michigan. I was rather shocked that you couldn't beat the Wolverines last year as they went 3-9. If beated them, they would have gone 2-10 for the year.

ffish: Exploring the possibility of a 3-way tie in the Pac-10 this year (new window)

I believe you're misreading the Pac-10 rules. There is, officially, no such thing as a "tiebreaker". In the situation you list, all three teams would be co-champions, and both Arizona and Stanford would be considered tied for 4th. Thus against the AZ-STAN block, only USC would be 2-0 and they would go to the Rose Bowl. Which makes me sad.

However, I think the more likely scenario is Oregon losing to Arizona rather than OSU and the rest all happening the same. Then it would be AZ/OR/USC all with 2 losses. Oregon would still be eliminated for their loss to ORST, leaving USC over Arizona as the Rose Bowl rep.

Dammit.

I'm getting this, by the way, from this clause in the Rose Bowl Selection rules:

When arriving at another group of tied teams while comparing records, each team's collective record against the tied teams as a group shall be used.

Oh, attempted fake punt is botched terribly.

DUKE leads 7-0 and takes over at the GATC-14 late in the first.

We gonna get raped. Ok, it may not actually be that bad, but I'm not too confident in our team to overcome a rabid and angry Autzen Stadium crowd. On the bright side of things, Osweiler is starting today, hopefully putting an end to "The Sullivan Experiment." However, getting your first career start in Eugene is not an ideal situation. Either way, I'm just hoping we keep it competitive today.

GO DEVILS!!!

Thanks for pointing that out. I'll update the blog at the end of the day after we see how today's games play out.

I'm really hoping to have a good week prediction-wise since the last two have been a bit down. I didn't even break 70% last week. I think I can 37 of the 50 games today. But we'll see. :)
