I was outraged at first, about the 12 year thing, seeing as how the kid was 17. As other Farkers pointed out though, she claimed he raped her. That's farked up. farkED UP. Raped her more than once? Bullshiat. She could have ruined that kids whole life.

Precisely accurate. If the 6'2", 200lbs "child" is truly harmed, I'd say throw the book. But if it acts like an adult, and looks like an adult, then it is an adult.

I can think of an awful lot of situations where people in a much greater "position of authority" got away scott free. And at least one where an awful lot of people complained there had been any investigation at all.
