And here I thought the "worst job in pro football" involved the offensive line's laundry.

karl swanson might be a nice guy, but he's just another paid hack in snyder's quest to further ruin the redskins.

Are people at a national level aware Snyder has banned ALL fan signs from FedEx field? Even positive ones. As of 2-3 weeks ago, security now confiscates all signs and throws them in the trash. The only signs you're allowed to wave are official Redskins signs with sponsor logos.

"Karl knows less is more," says The Post's Wise. "He does his job by keeping Dan sheltered. He represents the wall between Dan Snyder and his public. Because if the wall weren't there, you might not like what you see."

Like we like what we see now?

Swanson has spoken for Snyder when Native Americans have challenged the team's name as racist; when the owner's wife, Tanya, was called to court to testify in a lawsuit filed by a former nanny for allegedly unpaid wages (the nanny won nearly $45,000 in back pay in 2007); when controversies have raged about ticket and concession prices, parking at FedEx Field and tailgating restrictions.

Circumstantial evidence points to the negative

/ and how big a douchebag do you have to be to sign Albert Haynesworth to a $100 million + deal while simultaneously screwing your Nanny out of her salary?

He works in the NFL (somewhat indirectly), has held this high profile job for 12 years and probably get s paid very well...

yeah, I think I'd take it

As a lifelong Redskin fan, this is the first season I've actually rooted for a Redskin loss every week.

It's not Zorn, it's not the players, it's that butt puppet Snyder. What a dick deluxe. Fark him.

Except when they play Dallas, of course.

Sure about that? Did you read this part?

Swanson was also part of a select group of investors, headed by Snyder, that bought control of Six Flags in 2005 (the company filed for bankruptcy-court protection last summer). The same group, known as Red Zone LLC, invested in the Johnny Rockets burger chain and Dick Clark Productions, the producer of such TV shows as "So You Think You Can Dance."

Swanson's colleagues describe him as a constant presence at the team's headquarters at Redskins Park, and in his case, this may be literally true. According to public records, Swanson lists Redskins Park as his home address. One co-worker said Swanson keeps an air mattress at his office to sleep on, and stores some clothes on a rack in his car.

Seriously, I can't imagine a man who deserves a hot seat in hell more than this douchebag. How long to you think he remain in once piece if he walked around town without his thug body guards?

Subby, I did not know that "flack" could refer to someone's PR guy. Thanks for the heads-up.

Dan Snyder is the least of that team's problems. Sure, changing so much personnel from year to year hurts, but Campbell's had essentially this WR/RB core (Moss/Randle El/Betts/Portis/Cartwright) for his whole career. The O-line is full of first- or second-year guys (with the team, that is). An effective O-line is usually developed over two or more seasons with minimal replacements/rotation adjustments.

As we're finding out in Baltimore this season. Sigh.

The offensive line is made up of 3 guys that wouldn't make any other team's practice squads, a guy cut by the Bills, and a guy that would be a backup anywhere else. Those WRs and RBs you mention are mostly over 30. That's not good for skill positions. Portis has over 2,000 carries. The only real weapon we have is Santana Moss. The reason that this is the case is because we gave away too many draft picks for over the hill vets. That is Danny's fault.

I've wanted to ask this in one of the many Redskins threads and finally will.

Do these guys still dress like this,

img18.imageshack.us

to the Redskins games? I mean they looked like a-holes when the team was good, it is even worse when the team is awful.

And I guess the same question could be applied to these guys.

Yeah, they do. I wonder if they're even football fans or if they just like to wear dresses. The funniest part about that is we have the worst offensive line in football (Yes, we're counting college).

No, as with the Raiders (and the 90's Bengals), ultimately, the team's problems stem from ownership.

I'm a Redskins fan, but I want them to lose every single game (except the Dallas ones, of course) just so that this miserable little qusi-Scientologist troll finally gets the damn message that his method's aren't working and he hires a REAL GM/Coach and backs the fark off from the day-to-day running of the team. You're the owner, you sign the checks, you market the hell out of the Stadium, Team and Merchandise. Leave the football side to the football guys.

/Can't stand the Danny
//Stopped going to games just to avoid lining his odious little midget pockets.

And who do you think assembled this offensive line of undrafted free agents, old retreads, and first round busts?

Meanwhile, in a dimly lit corner of a private club somewhere two men are having a conversation in low voices in front of a TV with the volume turned all the way down.

"Good to see you again, Ari. Felt anything?"
"Nothing." came the plaintive reply
Scotty continued, "God, how long has it been?" "Months for me now, years for you."
*sigh* "Seems like an eternity." Ari took a sip off of his glass of 100 year old private label cognac. "Tastes good...hrm...I just don't feel anything about it." "You know what I mean?"
"OF COURSE I KNOW WHAT YOU MEAN. I spent a FARKING hour the other day pulling a stupid string for a 8 week old kitten and didn't feel a damned thing. JESUS!"
"Ok ok calm down Scotty, I didn't mean to upset you. shait."
"I'm sorry Ari. I lost my cool and that's the absolute last thing somebody in our business is supposed to have happen." Scotty continued. "Maybe you don't have to die to go to Hell. Maybe Hell is the inability to feel good about yourself ever again."
Ari said nothing for a moment and then looked at the TV. "Looks like the Deadskins lose another one."
Scotty spoke slowly. "Well I guess the plus side is pretty soon Karl Swanson can join us. The more the merrier." he said dryly.
"Cheers." Ari said with zero expression in his voice
"Cheers." Scotty replied in the same monotone as they clanked their glasses together.

Snyder is paying the price for his ego. It is an ego that says "I can buy a professional football team and make it into a dynasty" when hundreds of men who have had similar means and more knowledge of pro football have failed miserably.

It is an ego that says "this team is mine" when in fact the Washington Redskins are a corporation and have many owners and shareholders.

Finally, it is an ego that says "I know what I am doing, I am a businessman" when Daniel Snyder has never built, run, managed or developed anything on his own.

George Marshall (bigot), George Allen (ignorant) Jack Kent Cooke (money), Charley Casserly (stubborn), Joe Gibbs (milquetoast), Bobby Beathard (snob), John Riggins (drunk), Theisman (arrogant), Doug Williams (soft), Dexter Manley (illiterate)... the list goes on and on in terms of Redskins elite, each with their own problems and defects - like we all have.

Not one of them ever put themselves first. In each case of those listed above, every single one of them cared first about this team, or learned to, and then thought about themselves second.

Snyder doesn't. Snyder cares about this team only as much as it serves his business interests. I am sick of hearing how big a fan he is and all of that shiat.

He's a fraud, a petulant child and a truncated piece of crap. Fark him. Fark him now and forever. Fark him even if he somehow manages to fall into the playoffs, stumble blindly into an NFC championship game, or even happenstace his way into a Superbowl.

While I dislike him as much as you, he didn't inherit his wealth. He is a successful businessman, VERY, in fact; he's just a lousy fooball guy.
