Sabi was rescued by an American serviceman who suspected she was not an enemy combatant

Gotta be careful, since those enemy combatant dogs don't wear uniforms. Or dog tags.

Probably the fact that it's an Australian breed in Afghanistan?

Maybe he had one of these:

Just curious... what sort of farked up training does a dog have to go through to detect traces of trinitrotoluene or whatever explosives and then communicate that detection. I am not saying whatever training involved is cruel it is just unusual.

Something tells me a specially trained dog, property of the military, is chipped at the very least.

Awesome story.

With the flue going around, wash your hands first before picking at it.

Once again, the only time it's OK to have "something in your eye" is when it's related to the military.

I'd try saying to the dog, "sit!" If that didn't work, then I'd say "چوک", and see which one it responds to.

I think it's OK if there are children or old people involved also.

I may be wrong.

I don't know about the tactic being used afterward, but during the German/Soviet war the Soviets used dogs as anti-tank weapons. They trained dogs in a Pavlovian way to think that food was found underneath tanks. Then they strapped mines to the dogs and released them on the front lines. The dogs would then run underneath a German tank and BOOM!
