First thing I thought of... Pegnose and ducks. Oh yes.

True story. When I was a kid, we went to my dad's company picnic. A man there had a gnarly looking nostril so I asked my dad what had happened to him. Apparently he accidentally walked through a sliding glass door, slicing his nose clean off. They rushed him to the hospital, and realized once they were there that the nose was at home. So his wife rushed home to get it and put it on ice. When she got there, the family cat was chewing on it. She wrestled it away from the cat and took it to the hospital where they re-attached it. He had virtually no scar from the slicing off of the nose, but had a horrible scar from where Fluffy chewed on it.

Eh, they might as well let this guy go. He's gonna spend way more getting his nose repaired than he got in the robbery; and if they arrest him, he'll get his nose fixed on the county or state dime. Yes! That's right. "Shotgun injury". How vague. Botched suicide? Mistaken for an animal in a hunting incident? Clearly Robert Wayne has no health insurance to cover a prosthetic nose (middle name Wayne....serial killers with a preponderance of that middle name....). I'd buy a Groucho nose and cut off the glasses part, or get Silly Putty and form a fine Sean Connery schnoz....put a Sponge Bob band aid over it...anything....that facial hole is horrible.
