This is a sad story but a perfect headline.

I lol'd. Then felt bad for doing so. Then cursed Jim Duquette yet again.

The WFAN Mets Twitter guys said something to the effect of "Rick Peterson claims he can find her in 10 minutes." I had the same reaction.

He's a host on XM now, and he talked about the trade. Basically, he said that one of the Mets evaluators/scouts was ga-ga over Zambrano after working with him in the minors, and other people in the organization concurred that he was for real. Couple that with a relative lack of belief in Kazmir because of control and injury concerns, and voila!

He did say, though, that he was ultimately responsible for the move, and is rightly held accountable.

Then will they trade Scott Kazmir's mother for the mothers of a couple minor leaguers?

/Why yes, I am bitter about the Kazmir trade.

Getting back to this late, but it's Howie Rose, Wayne Hagin, and Maj.
