Boy! Your life must be boring. In addition to those things we also have palmetto bugs - think water bugs on steroids with a bad attitude. We keep them around to eat those other things that are already mentioned. Then the mosquitoes that drink your blood and kill the palmetto bugs. And to top off the food chain we have Canadians and Jewish Grandmothers during the cold months.

Cool story, bro - I spent a year in Montana and North Dakota tracking paddlefish. One of the things that took a while to get used to was the way the guys I worked with would, in the summertime, see a lake or river and just jump in to cool off. Without checking anything at all.

Gators are nearly as plentiful as raccoons or deer down here, no big deal to euthanize one, especially one that has bitten a human (whether it was the gator's fault or not) since he may have lost some of his fear of humans - or maybe he was under the car in the first place because he was stalking people or pets.

These things can eat kids and are plentiful, no need to take chances on one that might be aggressive.

Oh. That was how they used to do it back in the day when they were considered endangered. I saw several 7+ foot gators caught when I was a kid. Thanks for the correction.
