They don't scurry when something bigger comes their way, don't pack themselves together and run as one.

I, for one, welcome our new rodent overlords.

My cat has brought in 4 huge black rats that are about 1/3 her size. She eats their brains. Leaves the rest for me.

The Bush campaign warned us in 2000, vote Democrats, get rats.

No one really believes those exist.

Also, FTFA

In the second study of its kind (paid for by d-Con antipest products), New York once again topped the list of rats' favorite cities.

well surprise surprise surprise...

Disneyland had a problem rats once, and imported a bunch of cats. Apparently some of the cats decedents still roam the park at night.

Should we start panicking about the plague now or wait until the guberment develops a color code to tell us how bad it is?

In Denver, I saw rats run into a grocery store, King Soopers, at night (the grocery store had open entry, no doors).

I, too, would like to welcome our rodent overlords.

The article has some fail though. Rats do not have good vision. They can't see very far, and their vision is shifted towards the blue end. They don't see red very well, but they see into ultraviolet well enough to be able to follow urine trails that are old enough for the smell to have dissipated.

Rats are really very clean animals and oyal pets. I kept them for several years and am proficient at training them. One day I might go back to that life, training breeding etc. A purebred well trained rat is probably the best allround pet available to most people.
They are also cheap as they will eat practically any waste you can give them and if they are sick you need not go to a vetenarian as they can be destroyed and replaced for less than to provide medical care.

This guy isn't even a scientist, he's a "Pest Management Professional." For the low, low cost of putting ", PMP" after your name, you can write on pending rodent epidemics with equal authority!

"On verge"? Maybe if this was 1909, or 1809. But in 2009, we fell over the verge a LONG time ago...

I lived in a dirty South Side neighborhood in Chicago over the summer and saw those signs in every alley. Thanks for bringing back horrible, horrible memories of those things. Woke up one morning to find my screen window chewed through and a loaf of bread on my counter half eaten from rats.

And Imperial Rat Catchers are the best people to consult when you need to deal with the Skaven.

They do have small but vicious dogs, after all.

Small internal organs, usually the smaller the animal the less lifes span they will have: extreme example an ant and elephant.
You are very attractive btw

The Ant and the Elephant was my favorite Aesop's fable.
