We're All Reaganites Now [Jonah Goldberg]

And Nazis are liberal.

Whatever, dude...

So we're Reaganites? Is that the excuse Goldberg and NRO will use to lie about fiscal conservatism? Because if Reagan's your example, than you're a goddamn idiot.

well, the last time unemployment was this high was TWO YEARS into reagan's first term, so perhaps the comparison is apt.

Jonah Goldberg

This is where I knew I could stop. The rest of the article is already known.

Try varying your shtick some time. Or adding facts. Or acknowledging reality. Something besides idiocy.

As someone who lurks the politics tab from time to time... I'm getting a kick out of this reply.

We aren't talking about the Iraq War, little neo-con shill.

How long did that unemployment last vs how long is it going to last now.

Out economy today has not even began to restructure because the gov is propping up all the failed institutions.

And the institutions failed under which President?

And I'm supposed to believe that if McCain had won and the GOP had taken over the house and senate, that poor people would be better off in Nov of 09?

Good. farking. Luck. Convincing. People. Of. That.

No, those at the bottom are actually doing quite well. The problem is that Democratic theory holds that the money "trickles up" in order to reach the middle class.

/No party actually starts by giving the money to the middle class
//That would just be insanity

Funny how these people didn't biatch and moan when Dubya declared the economy to be strong while they remained unemployed.

It seemed like just a short while ago that the GOP were using the stock market as a gauge to Obama's popularity.

Of course until it gained over 20% since he took office....

Why is that relevant? So many people trying to point fingers, it's no wonder nothing gets fixed.

If by, "better off", you meant, "drafted into the military and shipped off to fight another war in Iran", then yeah.

Seriously... I can't even begin to imagine what kind lunacy would be going on by now. Palin would have probably tried to kill McCain about four or five times or just decided that she was going to form her own rogue government. You betcha!

Maybe if more fingers were pointed over the last 8 years, the mess wouldn't be so deep.

Nah. She would have quit long before she put the poison in his pancakes.

Yeah, I guess the first rise in GDP is meaningless psycho-babble. Obama should have fixed this in 10 months just like Reagan did.

It's not important how things got broken, it's only important that President Obama hasn't fixed them yet.

No?

Has anyone pointed out that Jonah Farking Goldberg is a cock?

Ok.

Blame any President you want, but Congress has far more effect on the economy than any president could.

I'm fine with this argument as long as Jonah and co. stay consistent and scoff at everyone who talks about in "trickle down" economics from now on. As in, the entire Republican party.
