Figure I'll start doing this, just to give us something to look at...
Bowl Eligible Teams: 37 Bowl Spots Possible: 68 Teams That Can Become Bowl Eligible: 20(with three games - UNC v dook, Nebraska v Oklahoma, and K-State v Kansas - giving the winner bowl eligibility) Teams That Can Be Eliminated From Bowls: 12 (Two more games are knockout games, but none of them have any shot at a bowl anyway.)
Other Important Games: Alabama v LSU - Alabama can clinch a tie in the SEC West with tiebreaker over LSU... so ya, they win and they're going to Atlanta.
No other conference has any clincher games of any kind this weekend. UF is the only team that has clinched anything (SEC East).
Gwendolyn:Why in the hell are the best two games on at the same time today??
Seriously. I'd put one on my computer and the other on the TV, but I've got a paper to write. As interesting as LSU-Bama is going to be, they get the back seat to the pasting of PSU in Happy Valley.
Gwendolyn:Why in the hell are the best two games on at the same time today??
Ratings sweeps. Which is stupid, because whether or not you watch a college football game has a lot less to do with whether you hate Verne & Gary or Brent & Todd than it does on the teams and which game is closer.
Hang On Voltaire:Love the Air Force cadet holding up the ROLL TIDE sign.
/you can take the kid out of Bama......
the fact that a kid from Alabama even got into college, let alone a military academy, is commendable. Bonus points for spelling "roll tide" correctly. It's a proud day for the people of Alabama, indeed.

Because the SEC is on CBS and the Big 11 is on ESPN/ABC and they are competing networks? Shot in the dark.

We cannot become bowl eligible today because our idiot Athletic Director thought it would be such a good idea to schedule two games against 1-AA teams.
sarasotarockstar:Can we all agree to stop with the "Boise State deserves a shot!" talk now? This team's been exposed more than Jenna Jamison by this point.
I wish, but no, we'll have plenty of honks in here with their "OMG we beat Oregon!" crap ignoring the fact that the rest of their schedule is little more than high school teams.

The usual stuff. Predictions for this week. Going 88-of-110 the last two weeks, going 5-1 so far this week. Expect to get 36 of the 46 games today.
