Lehigh County Judge Robert L. Steinberg said the man's subsequent visits did not advance the police investigation. He was given $360 total to pay for the services that allegedly involved Chon and another woman, plus the extra $180 for his time.

Otherwise, what two consenting adults do without harming anyone else in the privacy of a room should not waste valuable police resources and time because some repressed prude might be offended that someone, somewhere, might have a good time.

Aren't jails overcrowded? Aren't they letting serious criminals out early because of it? Isn't the police always whining about lack of resources when some real crime happens?

I wasn't aware you could throw out police evidence because of "outrageousness". It can often be tossed for violating the 4th Amendment, but it sounds like that's not the issue. After all, if one low-key test run (without gloating at the end) would be constitutional, why isn't what happened legal?

According to this (which I just found), "the "outrageous police conduct" defense is a very vague and broad defense with no strict requirements and no accepted definition." Sounds prone to abuse.
