The Army needs to do a better job keeping an eye out for soldiers going mental (crazy, stressed out, depression, etc). You'd think someone would really notice a Major muttering how much he hates the war against Islam etc. There were enough warning signs. And what the F' were the feds doing by not taking action other than being aware when he started making those posts about suicide bombers being like soldiers who throw themselves on grenades?

Well that much is true, it looks like there were red flags everywhere. But that would also be true if he had been an ultra right-wing nationalist who spouted anti-government slogans all the time then finally went on a shooting spree.

Either way, the army certainly does need to watch for the warning signs.
