And I had no idea that they were remaking this movie.
I have very fond memories of the first one, which had bare breasts in it. At least, I seem to remember bare breasts. I was pretty young. Not so young that I didn't recognize bare breasts as something worth noticing, but young. And it had scorpions, and Medusa, and a Pegasus that sometimes lost its wings but was still a pretty good Pegasus, all things considered.
Clash of the Titans! Where we take the name but very little else from a (rather average) SFX movie from the Eighties! Yes, we could have called it something else, since we are not bothering with the original movie storyline, but, that would involve thinking! Or creativity! And we didn't have any money left for those after spending it all on CG effects! And just in case you missed that last line: Millions spent on TOTALLY AWESOME COMPUTER GRAPHIC EFFECTS!!!!
I'm going to assume that the posters are just prototypes, especially since Sam Worthington/Perseus's expression is exactly the same in both shots. Apparently they only had a couple of frames left on the roll.
The mechanical Bubo is the obligatory R2D2 stand-in shoehorned into every sci-fi/fantasy contemporary of Star Wars, only better-executed that even lamer examples such as 7-Zark-7 in the Americanized version of Gatchaman. And Bubo's name is Greek for groin. WTF was that supposed to mean?

Bubo was indeed the best animatronic creature ever. He was even a badass.

God of War would be a GREAT movie but no way hollywood would allow all the gore and violence.

I also came for Bubo. Then I joined this thread hoping that somebody had posted a picture of him.

Don't know how much of the gore will make it in, but there is a movie in the works.
