D'ya wanna be in my gang, my gang, my gang? D'ya wanna be in my gang? Oh Yeah! I'm the leader, I'm the leader, I'm the leader of the gang I am! I'm the leader, I'm the leader! I'm the cat who put the blow in hole! I can take you feeding on krill, ooooh what a thrill!
"It was incredible to finally fit some action to our theories," said Okeanis field director Mark Cotter, who captured the footage along with fellow researcher Thomas Jefferson.
FTFA: The video shows a group of male dolphins using several techniques to assault a porpoise as it tries to get away. The dolphins corral the porpoise, ram it with their beaks, scrape or rake it with their teeth and drown the porpoise by jumping on top of it. The dolphins then bring the carcass up to the Okeanis researchers, watch them bring it on board and then swim away.
So... they off the porpoise, then they bring it to the researchers?!
That sounds to me more like a warning not to fall in the water...
"Hey. You in our turf, boys. This is what happens when you get in our turf."

I noticed that too. I wonder if these dolphins have noticed that the researchers just seem to love the dead porpoises. They always pay attention to them and take them away for study. Maybe it was a present. A horribly gruesome present.
Wuphon's Dream:Pretty sad that any mildly intelligent animal is a murderous dick
Why is it sad? Certainly, it doesn't jive with the values of human society, but it's the way things are. It's like saying, "Pretty sad that gravity obeys the inverse square law."

if they obey then they can get rewards, like tattoos.
Are humans smart enough to convey the idea of tattoos & sell it to the alien gangstas?
are they killing another race to appease the alien mouth breathers or are they just trolling?

Humans > Chimps > or = Dolphins
/ probably a correlation to intelligence here.
