Went to one of those R/C jet thingies a couple years ago. Really farking impressive.... but yes, seriously injured or dead spectators waiting to happen.

I've seen a couple of these RC crash videos, some going very fast not far from the crowd. I agree that somebody is probably going to get hurt one of these days.

RC planes are a few hundred to a couple thousand for the best ones. It's like buying a gaming system or a computer, really.
