Somebody stole something from this guy. Should the police decline to investigate simply because it is an illicit substance?

Yeah, it's dumb to report stolen an item that is illegal for you to possess in the first place, but it's equally absurd for the police to scoff at a reported crime -- after all, now somebody else has said illicit substance.

I would just like to post, for the record, that after almost 30 years, i have Never been SO high that discussing Any matter with the police seemed like a good idea.

In fact, the opposite would hold true, in that if something needed police intervention, i'd actually delay the call for a little while 'til i got my bearings.

No kidding...3 stores about the same idiot, while not one greenlight about Mr. "i'm shooting up yer army base" babbling about Allah as he was killing people. THAT would be a good thread.

I'm bitter because I submitted an article about a woman tweeting that she was thrilled about her miscarriage. Imagine the crap that would have gone down in the thread!

I'll resubmit it, but the admins are all butthurt about my haiku now :)

DNRTFA, but here's my input-

Our office actually has a few cases where we are prosecuting people for theft after they stole pot plants from people who are licensed to grow under the medicinal marijuana program. It's kinda funny watching the really conservative guy in our office and his mixed feelings about those cases. When it's just some yahoo who lost their pot they aren't supposed to have anyway, we don't pursue it, and in Oregon we wouldn't pursue even a possession charge if it's less than an oz. because it's a violation and officers actually have to witness a violation in order to cite someone for it. But medical cardholders? They have property rights that are defended like anyone else, even when it's ironic.

/Likes the Oregon medical marijuana program.

I'm just here to make sure if it gets redlit, my comment will be posted. It's my subtle way of being a liter and having some of the benefits of totalfark.

I know, this kind of thing just perpetuates the myth that pot makes you stupid. To paraphrase Galadriel: the only stupid here is what you bring with you.

belome: Dumbass tag for Fark Admins... again.

This trifecta helps support my theory that greenlights are being decided by teenage boys with ADD. FARK started dying about six months ago. Half of my office used to be regular farkers but most have abandoned it because stuff like this.

That's rather sexist. Why don't you let the teenage girls participate in your theories? You could even shorten the nomenclature to "teenagers", saving precious key strokes.

One of the most common ways people like to appear cool is to deride popular things, saying they were better "before" or going out of their way to mention how bad something is.

/I'm unabashedly not popular. Fark you guys.

Teenage girls on Fark? You're hilarious. The only females that appear on Fark range from 30 to morbidly obese.

/Can we legalize pot now so stupid people can continue to be legally stupid?

nygenxer 2009-11-06 12:59:48 PM
Once again, all you weed-haters note that it was NOT pot that made the man stupid and call the police, it was alcohol.

Well then someone submitted it with a better headline...I'll have to go check out the thread. In any case I didn't get the credit, not that I'm really all that worried about it.
