Bad form. "Doper" in baseball parlance means someone taking steroids.

Dope also isn't marijuana.

I'm shocked, SHOCKED to hear that Tim Lincecum is a fan of the hippie lettuce.

That's not what those after-school specials taught me.

See, kids. If you smoke pot, then you will grow up to be a pitcher on a crappy baseball team. Who wants that?

Lionel Mandrake: I like him even more now.

Agreed. This. QFT. I came here to say this.

skinink 2009-11-06 12:31:23 AM

"Steve Stadanko, a Washington State Patrol trooper and spokesman, said that the amount of marijuana Lincecum handed over was 3.3 grams. Stadanko described the amount as the size of a human thumb, enough only for personal use. Stadanko added that Lincecum did not seem impaired behind the wheel."

Tim's not here.

Have you ever won the Cy Young? Have you ever won the Cy Young ... on weed?

The 2.3 grams were promptly put into the evidence room

Exactly. Over in one.

And it is probably the only way to listen to Barry Zito's music.

According to a report in The Columbian of Clark County, Wash., Lincecum was stopped for speeding on Interstate 5 in the town of Hazel Dell, about four miles north of the Oregon border

Look, Tim, if you want to make a big splash, get pulled over four miles south of the BC border with a Nate Newton load.

Sheed's technical performance is enhanced as well

I wonder what kind of shiatstorm would brew if Tim came out and said "I smoke weed to relax, and because of it I've won a Cy Young. So yeah, I owe all my success to weed"/

Likely. But an argument could be made for Zack Grienke, Felix Hernandez, and maybe Danny Haren.

And since next year is an even year, Ervin Santana

JohnBigBootay 2009-11-06 01:27:57 AM
Goose1701: Felix Hernandez,

You'd lose that case. Felix is 58-41, granted he really arrived this year but he was 39-36 before this year. Lincecum is an ungodly 40-17 and has substantial edge in WHIP and ERA. Felix has arrived now but I can't put him at the Lincecum level until he does it back to back.

That must have been some dense shiat to be 3.3 and be the size of the thumb.

And King Felix and Danny Haren have got to be smoking too. Felix looks like my roommate's dealer, and Haren looks like my ex-girlfriend's brother, who used to hook me up.

I'd toss King Felix from that list and add Doc. I'd also consider Webb but who knows how he'll recover from his injury back to a full year of work.

I do believe though that Johan is no longer a viable candidate among the super elite.

Really? Webb can miss an entire season but you're going to discount Johan for going 13-9 with a 3.13 era and then missing 10 starts?

The year before that he led the NL in era among starters. Led all of baseball, I think.

It's just a hunch about Santana. I feel like he's on his decline. Do you really think he's as good as Timmy, Danny or Doc anymore?

Good. Every time someone incredibly successful - presidents, olympians, Cy Young pitchers - turns out to be a pothead, it makes people realize just how normal and harmless the stuff is.

Of course, this is still America, so Timmy will have to go on the Michael Phelps contrition tour and tell everyone who will listen that weed is terrible and he made an awful mistake by even looking at the stuff.

8:22 AM in his car. This is not someone who accidentally inhaled or pulled one tube at a party after he was already wasted. He is hardcore and I salute him.

If i had a brazillion dollars and 4 months off, yeah, i'd wake and bake occasionally too.
