Dolphins' Jason Taylor, a believer that trash talking shouldn't take place until you've taken the trash out - twice - says: "Jets fans take the 'cl' out of 'class'..."

I lived in South Florida for a long time, and I know for a fact taht in the AFC East, the fans of the Bills, Jets and Patriots were all loud-mouthed ornery troublemakers, and only the Dolfans were well-behaved, polite and sportsmanlike.

/Colts fans were bad, too, but they got better when they moved to Indy and out of the division.

/Don't make me explain that I am being sarcastic here.

"There comes a point where you've got to win with class and you've got to lose with class and we try to do that," Taylor said.

As a lifetime Dolfan I can agree with this statement. They've been losing with class for years.
They haven't been worth a crap since Jimmie (how's my hair?) Johnson came to town & told Marino when to pass.

I honestly haven't seen how well JT has been doing since he left DC but I hope it's terrible. He really was another notch on Dan Snyder's embarrassment belt. He had what 2 or 3 sacks last year?

You can be passionate and have class. I haven't been to a Dolphins home game in a very long while now, but when I lived in south Florida, I went to a bunch.

vs Broncos - A lot of Broncos fans there. They were flat-out crazy loud, and passionate as hell, even though we put a beating on them. All of them were classy as hell, even the loudest/craziest ones.

vs Jets - I don't really have to explain. Jet fans are the bottom of the scumbag barrel in the NFL.

Correct. For the most part they are Giants fans who didn't go to college.

Fireman Ed is a meathead asshole.

I take it that you never had to deal with eagle fans?

He's already doubled his totals from last year and had a defensive touchdown last week. Thanks for Pat White!

If that - but he was free. Same old word is that he'll see more time on the field this week along with Wake, but who knows. I bet after this week they'll wish they took an inside linebacker who could cover worth a damn.

At least they're not as dumb as some of my fellow Bears fans. If you watch a game at Soldier Field, pay attention to the crowd noise.

Traditionally, fans are supposed to make noise when the opposing offense is getting ready to snap the ball, and they are supposed to be quiet when the home offense is getting ready to snap the ball.

In Chicago, they are doing it backwards. It's embarrassing.

Not that the Bears defense has been giving them anything to make noise about, in all fairness.

Fun Fact, Pat White was selected at #44 while Phil Loadholt was selected at #54. Had the Redskins not lost that pick for a bag of magic beans they would have been ablt to draft a real tackle and would not be in the mess they are in. Nobody thinks about the future in that organization. They made a trade for Jason Taylor. Did they think they were going to win it all that year? I just don't understand that. Trades should only be used by teams missing that one final piece. Typically, you make a deep playoff run then the next year you make a trade to put you over the top.

If not being on a team with trash talking loud mouths is so important to him maybe he should has a chat with his teammate (new window).

Actually the article says he tends to back up his trash talk quite well.

God, please drop all other pressing matters and see to it that the Dolphins upset the Patriots, clobber Tom Brady, and hurt Bill Belichik's feelings so bad that he has to run off the field even before time runs out to go cry in the shower like after the Giants beat him in the Super Bowl that one time.

There, I did it. I petitioned The Lord with prayer.

Uh yeah, good luck with that.

That said, good for Jason Taylor. I really like him, despite the fact that he plays for the Dolphins. He has always come across as a class act, who doesn't talk sh*t, just plays well, unlike Rex Ryan and his band of jokers, or Joey Porter.

I just hope this kid Volmer has more luck against Taylor than Matt Light ever did. When Taylor gets inducted into the Hall of Fame they should have him knock Light on his ass on his way to the podium...

He likely will. There was a lot of buzz about Vollmer prior to the draft due to his athleticism. He hasn't surrendered a sack thus far has he? He did play against some of the worst teams in the NFL yes, but he's doing alright. I was happy to see the Dolphins get Gardner but was pissed when the Pats got Vollmer.

I'm a huge Miami fan who now lives in NJ and this is exactly why I don't go there. I've been to other venues and of course you get bullied a little when you're outnumbered 50:1, but Giants stadium is just ridiculous.

I would have to say that a game I went to at the Steelers was the most...relaxing (even though Miami lost in OT).

I can't stand the JETS. I do give them credit for that last game. If their special teams didn't meltdown, it was their game.
