He'll stick around.

He'll stick around and learn from all that came from it.

Jeez...they've been about as prolific as Rob Thomas (as far as hit singles). Think of it as Greatest Hits Vol. 1, and give us GH Vol. 2 in 5 years.

Hell, in times like these, you can't have it all. Good grief, he should be ecstatic that his band stuck around long enough to make a greatest hits album, considering they've already exhausted every possible chord combination on the pentatonic scale. Cheer up, boys. Still, I thought there was a post two days ago about them "retiring" already. They'll come back next year by summer's end with a new album, I'm sure.

I think the writer of that article was the same guy who submitted the "Dumb: Moonshine + Rider + Horse= ? A OK|Splat & Trample Dumber: Moonshine + Gullible Reporter + Locals= ?Pre-Conquest Mayan Horses|Stickin' It To The Spanish. Bonus Fark: Town is = ?Wet|Dry" headline.

"The former Nirvana star even insists the new album is missing some of his favourite Foo Fighters songs"

How long has Foo Fighters been out and how many successful albums have they released? I dunno I just think it's kinda funny.

I like the Foo Fighters? Are they the greatest band ever? No. Are they super progressive or completely out there or original? No.

But, they're catchy, reasonably varied, fun to listen to, with more then competent musicianship and production values. Not every band has to be super experimental or progressive or indie or ingenious to be worth listening too.

And yes I like Rush, Radiohead, Oasis, Smashing Pumpkins Coldplay, too.

\And I do think my taste in music is exquisite.
\\Blue Oyster Cult FTW
\\\You're favourite band sucks.

I was really a fan of the band when their first album came out. Dave Grohl is a truly gifted individual in general. I was surprised to hear that he was disappointed about the greatest hits album... especially because they played a concert during the summer to commemorate its upcoming release. The two new songs sucked... blah blah blah

I thought it seemed out of character for the band to release a best-of album. Guess this makes sense.

In a Fark Music link posted FARKING YESTERDAY:

Frontman Dave Grohl reveals the band's new greatest hits record marks the end of an era - and it's time to take a hiatus.

K, this isn't really about Dave Grohl, the Foo Fighters, their Greatest Hits album, and how Dave Grohl is unhappy about it.

It *is* about the annoying presentation of the news. You read 3 times that Dave Grohl is unhappy about the Foo Fighters greatest hits album before you get to the article. (Browser title bar, Title by the time posted, Article title after the picture -- before the article), not to mention you probably read that Dave Grohl is unhappy about the Foo Fighters greatest hits album when you clicked a link to this stuff.

So, in case you didn't get it the first 3 times, what's the first sentence in the article itself? Yep. Dave Grohl is unhappy about the Foo Fighters' greatest hits album.

/I have a cat in-heat in the house that's less annoying.

Aww, poor wealthy musician, getting a sales percentage of a new release he had to contribute 0% new work to.

How can it be a Greatest Hits album if "I'll Stick Around" isn't on it?

The Foo Fighters first two albums are the only ones worth a fark.

Then they became gay like most of their fan base.

So, you're saying once a band has written songs, with all the chords covered, they should stop? I hope that's true, that way ol' Bruce can finally die and rot in a 2' grave.
