He kind of shouted that part.

Funny that Indivisible is the word omitted, as I am one who views the Tea Party as a group trying their hardest to divide this nation under god.

Nah, he's too busy doing lobbyist work for Turkey. Both the deli meat and the country.

Okay, while the conservatives are busy doing and saying things they think drive me "crazy," I'm going to continue doing what I think is right for the country as a whole. You know, like a grown up.

Or a dime
Of marijuana

That's pretty funny. Or painfully predictable.

I'm going with both.

Speaking as a liberal, and a natural born citizen, I don't think i have to pledge allegiance to this nation. I was born in it. It's my country already.

Furthermore, I don't think people should walk around making promises that they don't intend to keep - and most people reciting the pledge of allegiance are doing just that.

And the greatest thing about America is that if you don't like it, you can always leave. The sad part is when people promise to leave and don't. So do let the door hit you on your final exit! And when you find your liberal utopia, call us!

PS: Unless you are voluntarily surrendering 90% of your income to the federal government, you are a greedy republican capitalist pig!

it's not the Pledge per se, it's the anti-American "fix" that conservatives bent on undermining our nation's unity rammed through in the 1950s that pisses me off. Before that, we really were one nation, indivisible. Ever since, well, you can see for yourselves what's happened.

Why do people who value "freedom" insist on reciting a formal oath to a government?

You literally can't create comedic parodies of Republicans anymore. They're so stupid, hateful, ignorant and incompetent in reality that a parody would be redundant.

It's even more amusing when the Rugged Individualists make the wolf their personal symbol. You know, because nothing represents a rugged individualist better than an animal that has a ridiculously high fatality rate when alone.

Don't know about authenticity of this version:

I pledge allegiance to and wrap myself in the flag of the United States
Against Anything Un-American and to the Republicans for which it stands,
two nations, under Jesus, rich against poor, with curtailed liberty and
justice for all except blacks, homosexuals, women who want abortions,
Communists, welfare queens, treehuggers, feminazis, illegal immigrants,
children of illegal immigrants, and you if you don't watch your step.

And its not even a pledge to the constitution. It's to the flag. What the hell does that even mean, to pledge to a flag? It's really a disconcerting ritual.
