jmotlus:Joe Flynn died july 19th 1974 @ the age of 49, due to drowning in his swimming pool weighted down by a cast on his leg, after he had a heart attack.
Man is that a blast from the past! He was one of the first comedian/illusionists and really wasn't supplanted as the best until Penn and Teller appeared on the scene.
I had no idea that he was a magician as well as an actor, but he holds a special place in my heart nevertheless:
There is a classroom building at Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ, called Ballantine Hall, and for years one of the signs had been defaced to add the word CARL over BALLANTINE.
It was where the Rutgers University Gamers met every Friday night. Possibly they still do meet there, I don't know.
