"You play to win the game." wasn't good enough a while back?

The_Sponge: "You play to win the game." wasn't good enough a while back?

AS Herman Edwards teases a bit after the break on Sportcenter where, "I'll tell you what franchise is in the biggest mess".

Here's one for them:

Losers whine about their best, winners go home and fark the prom queen.

Those who say it can't be done are simply getting in the way of those who are doing it.

/or something like that.

Yeah THAT will get them to stop biatching about you Haley. It's not so easy to run an offense when you don't have Fitz and Boldin to air it out to, is it?

The Royals lose about a hundred games a year. Which makes them 3x better than the Chiefs.

I know there's a version of that with Kevin Dyson somewhere...

And the Royals have Zack Grienke.

I don't see it either but if I had to guess I'd say it's subject/verb agreement. "Walk" versus "team".

Whose law says that all grammar Nazis will make mistakes? I know it has a name.

MS Word, the definitive authority on spelling and grammar, has no problem with "walk" or "walks" in that sign, but if you remove some of the intermediate clauses, it suggests putting a question mark at the end instead of a period.

The walks/walk thing is iffy at best, with the whole collective noun thing. It may be slightly better as walks, because if you rearrange the sentence to be less 'artistic', it currently reads:

The best conditioned, most disciplined, and hardest working football team in America walk through these doors.

Which isn't entirely wrong, so much as awkward. As written, it emphasizes the team is made of individuals, which probably isn't what you want in a poster about unity.

It's called a Rotsky, and it was intentional.

The motivational poster is like something out of a bad sports movie about the underdog suddenly playing together and knocking off better teams weekly.

Also just to tick off Larry Johnson they should trade him to St. Louis, not only would he be on a terrible team but he'd have to sit behind a better running back.

A rotsky is more of an unintentional incorrection. I do not think it's possible to rotsky yourself, without posting a followup comment to make the incorrection.

The law I'm thinking of is called Muphry's Law on Wikipedia, but goes by other names including Skitt's Law.

Internet grammar. Serious business.
