You're right. It's all Obama's fault. Keep the spin up, fellas. You sure as hell not gonna ever get a support the Republican party again if you aren't willing to farking man up to your farkups, instead of blaming other people.

The spending decisions that Bush pushed for are not his fault because a) a guy that wasn't even a US senator at the time wants to continue a part of them 8 years later b) medicare costs weren't fixed 40 years ago and c) a guy that wasn't even a US senator at the time didn't propose a cost check that Bush didn't implement either.

Well, that f*cking makes sense.

Anything else?

Yes, every President inherits spending from the President before him that he has to pay for.

Unfortunately for Hot Air, that still doesn't make Obama responsible for Bush's spending. All that it means is that it was predictable.

But really, spin, spin away!

Jaakobi 2009-11-05 07:07:03 PM
53% of the deficit is due to Bush's policies (10% Obama's, including future spending increases). You want them repealed, particularly the tax cuts and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan and Medicare part D? No? Well, then do you want to raise taxes? No? well you want to do a spending freeze? Ok then I guess, have fun when you don't have clean water or safe roads, highways and bridges. Oh and millions of people would have pay cuts or get layed off, I wonder how that will go down in our economy.

Actually, that sounds like rugged individualism!

On the other hand, since that is nothing more than a talking point that republicans bring out only when it's convenient, I can see how they might not really go for it.

Perhaps not. But it does reveal that anyone who supported Bush's agenda and is now complaining loudly about the deficit is partisan, not principled.

I dismiss them out of hand because they have shown themselves to be biased and illogical, as demonstrated in this thread. Why don't you explain to me why their flawed logic should be taken seriously? And my reasons for not being willing to listen to them are not "poisoning the well" because I have not presented any false or disparaging information about Hot Air, the author or Malkin, just pointed out who was presenting the information and that they are full of wharrgarbl.
Calling me a mental midget accomplishes nothing but to make yourself look like even more of a dickhead than you already do on a regular basis.

Wow. So saying that they are full of "whargarrbl" isn't disparaging? It's just your pet name for them, right?

Your entire argument is that they are so biased (adverse information) and "full of whargarrbl" (adverse information) that nothing they say should be taken seriously. (Intent to discredit)

It's the very definition of Poisoning the Well.

As for the mental midget remark, I'm just fighting fire with fire here. Was it not you that alluded that I also have nothing to say, because you believe that I am also biased against the current administration and "full of whargarrbl?" So you not only engaged in Poisoning the Well, but also a nice little ad hominem.

Congrats. You have shown that you have nothing to add to the conversation.

It's not my fault that nothing they, or you, say can be taken seriously because of their overwhelming bias against the administration. Now why don't you defend their logic instead of attacking me for pointing out the obvious? Shouldn't be too hard for a conservative mental giant like yourself. Or don't you have anything to add to the conversation?

How are we supposed to factually assess Obama's presidency if he blames everything on Bush?

The Democratic party is a party of cry babies. It's always someone else's fault. I'm sick of your excuses.

For eight years you whined about Bush. Now, that your savior has taken over, you're STILL blaming Bush.

The American people isn't going to be fooled again dems. 2012 is getting closer for every day that passes.
