Considering the number of traffic stops that end badly for police, the officer is rightly concerned for his own safety when the person starts the encounter off by being confrontational, ignores repeated warnings and ignores directions.
I'm usually against excessive force by the police, but this guy had it coming.
alsih2o:I'll pay for the bullet they should have used. There is a time and place to argue with a cop and it is in a courtroom.
I didn't see any cops in this one. some person who pull a gun out on a civilians and demands he turn around, get on his knees and put his hands on his head is a mugger, not a cop.
flashing lights on the roof don't mean anything. The guy should have got in his car and driven to the police station. Tell the mugger that's where you'll meet him.
Colonel_Debugger:gee, could it have all been avoided by sitting in your car?
dumbfark
or the police officer could've just told him what he was pulling him over for. that would take, oh, i don't know, about 4 seconds. Put yourself in the guy-being-pulled-over's shoes. he simply got out of his car and the cop just about shat his pants and escalated the situation.
really the conversation reminded me of a person shaking a magic 8-ball and getting the same answer over and over again.
What did the guy do that was illegal? (Besides a crooked front license plate)? As far as I can tell, he was being detained, and not under arrest. Is this another case of being arrested for resisting arrest?

He could have just been letting the guy know that it was loose and he might lose it. then the guy gets confrontational.

You do know that it's perfectly within your legal rights to ask if you're being detained, and why, right?
And all for a license plate? Daaaaaammmnnnn.
