It's a great weight loss program. I was skinny back then, and still managed to lose 25 pounds.

I got it senior year in HS. I got sick the day before Xmas break. My mom thought I was faking to get an extra day of vacation, until the diarrhea started. I was sick the whole two weeks of break and wasn't well until the day we were supposed to go back to school. Worst Xmas evar.

Mono gave me a week long high fever and I coughed until my throat bled. The worst part was I got it about two weeks after I got my wisdom teeth out so I was on a liquid diet for most of a month. I dropped from 170 pounds to about 140 and I could see most of my ribs.

I can't imagine that's good for a fighter.

Actually, I didn't have the traditional "weakness" for anything other than the week or so I was in severe, agonizing pain and had difficulty breathing. But I'm normally lazy, so maybe that was why.

Uh... Frank Mir is a much better BJJ guy than Carwin and Brock had no problems with him on the ground. The size difference is irrelevant once things hit the mat. Randy Couture gnp'd the crap out of Gabe Gonzaga, a much larger man than him. Fedor REALLY gnp'd the crap out of Heath Herring & Big Nog some years ago, although the size difference in the latter fight was minimal.

It is frustrating as fans because so much about Carwin is unknown. He's never been in the deep water, so to speak, so that we can see what kind of fighter he really is.

there aren't very many heavyweights in the UFC...there aren't that many heavyweights in MMA capable of competing with Lesnar. Fedor is the number one shot (but won't happen because Dana White's a punk), but hopefully we'll see Brock Lesnar vs. Marcus "The Darkness" Jones sometime soon. ;)

Watching mma since 2000. All i'm saying about Fedor is that the level of competition in strikeforce is A LOT more inferior to that of UFC. Brett Rogers is a big lug that has beaten Arlovski after Fedor. But Fedor broke Andre's chin and now he's a tomato can for up and comers. Brock while only having fought a few times as beaten Coutoure and Mir,both 2 fighters that would DESTROY the entire strikeforce lineup easily sans fedor. As far as seeing him fight, I have and he's damn good against the piles of crap he's faced. His KO of arlovski was awesome but he was getting his ass kicked before the stupid flying knee. Fedor in UFC would get a far bigger challenge and I'd respect him more for beating the likes of valesquez,dos santos,mir,couture,Nog,and carwin. When he curb stomps Rogers this weekend, big deal, he fights another tomato can and avoids real competition in UFC

I love how you say "the last 3 years" because that's all anyone wants to talk about with Fedor. When he fought Sylvia and Arlovski they were top 10 heavyweights (pathetic right?) and they got destroyed. Those two are better than Herring, but not Couture or Mir. He was supposed to fight Barnett (ranked number 2 at the time, better than Couture or Mir) but couldn't because Barnett decided he needed tons of steroids to fight Fedor.

Go back past the last 3 years and he has a shiatload of impressive wins, including wins over Nog in his prime and Cro Cop in his prime.

I just wish he fights Lesnar after his contracts up next year, I think we'll see it happen, if only because White feels so certain that Lesnar will kill Fedor that he'll allow co-promotion for one event. I don't think he's that stupid though, it would be really embarrassing for Fedor to have both the Pride and the UFC HW titles sitting at home with him.
