Some other Farker posted the links to these videos (wish I could remember their name). Why you should never talk to the police, according to a lawyer and a former policeman. It's a two part video, and I think the second video where the cop speaks is more informative than when the lawyer talks.

After a few months of ridiculously bad press and thousands of angry letters a day, I'm guessing he will end up with a medal (well, an apology more likely).

Even if he had committed a crime, the amount of bad PR this is generating would make it pointless to prosecute. Real criminals will go free in the future as a result of prosecuting this guy.

Cyanobacterial algal blooms are common in many eutrophic lakes in Florida. Although cyanobacteria have had considerable impact on freshwater quality within the state since the mid 1900s, the timing and causes of their appearance have remained unknown because water-quality monitoring began in Florida only after 1980.

Marxist ideology says that in a capitalist society, all anti-social acts are simply natural and unavoidable reactions against capitalist oppression.

While a Marxist would rather a person act collectively in the class-struggle, they believe that individual anti-social behavior is not the fault of the perpetrator, but the fault of a cruel capitalist society that forced the individual to strike out in the only way they know how. Individuals who engage in crime and anti-social behavior against society don't need nor deserve punishment, they only need to be taught class-consciousness. Once there is enough class conscious people, capitalism can be overthrown through violent revolution, and all crime will end.

The exception to this rule is reactionary political crimes. 'Hate' crimes, 'White-Collar' capitalist crimes, crimes against oppressed classes, should be punished swiftly and mercilessly, as those acts are a direct attack on the proletariat. Also, in socialist systems, anti-social acts are reactionary, and thus it is OK for countries like Cuba or Venezuela to crack down on criminals.

The judges that are currently on the bench in courts in modern Canada where at university during the 60s and 70s, when Marxist ideology was a natural part of the intellectual scenery. The judges might be crypto-Marxists, or more realistically the judges might simply be making an emotional reaction bases upon their radical indoctrination without really thinking about ideology. But those core Marxist concepts are the cornerstone of the Canadian criminal justice system.

In the eyes of the Canadian justice system, the store owner is guilty of running an exploitative capitalist institution. The shoplifter is simply a victim of capitalism who consciously or unconsciously through the act of shoplifting was attacking his oppressor.

i feel so hurt right now. there is this girl i always talk to online who liked me and always told me i was attractive and just now i asked her if i was as attractive as this model whose pic was posted on a forum and she avoided the question for a while but then eventually straight up told me that he was more attractive than me because his hair is better. he has this really silky smooth wavy hair, the same kind my younger brother has. i have this really curly afroish hair. all girls seem to think that type of hair is much better than mine. and even this girl who knew me and liked me couldn't lie to me and tell me i was better looking than this guy. i was so hurt and i started crying. i can't stand to think of myself as unattractive compared all these other guys. it hurts so badly. i wish i had someone to talk to right now. this girl was one of the only people i could talk to and now i feel so betrayed, even though she was just telling the truth and i asked for it.

The citizens arrest did not happen as the crime was being committed, it was hours later that they detained him. Not saying I agree with it, but technically, this is against the law.

Also, the charges are brought forth by a prosecutor, not a judge. So I am not sure what the hell Marxist judges have to do with anything.

I agree with Howdareyoucallmeahoser, shop owners should allow themselves to be victimized day in and day out. That's what insurance is for. They should not try to protect their way of life in any way. So go ahead and leave your valuables clearly visible in your vehicle with a full tank of gas and the keys in the ignition. You have car insurance, right? And leave your house door unlocked and property in plain view, that's why you have homeowners. And ladies, wear short skirts without panties so you may be raped easier. It's ok, you have medical insurance.
