But let's not burden the heroes of Wall Street with onerous regulations.

So biting the hand that feeds you costs $700M? Good to know.

Seeing as the taxpayers have given JP $25 BILLION in TARP funds, it seems this "settlement" is a bit light. "No worries citizen, your money is safe, we used our other pot of money to pay for our sins.."

Referring to Wall Street:

"It's a racket. They're all a bunch of crooks"-Al Capone. Yes, THAT Al Capone.

True then, true today.

Nope, not all of it. Started paying back early, yes, but not all paid back. Citation?

A quick google that I should have done before shows you are correct. My bad.

There's an internet full of citation, I put the fact out there, you disprove it.

Feck it... http://online.wsj.com/article/SB124524619467123215.html

Need more?

People asking for Citations should be kicked off the internet.

So the county I own a house in and can't get rid of because of this mess the county commissioners have gotten us into only owes $3.2 billion now? Woopty-doo. I'm still amazed the commissioners haven't been shot or strung up yet. At least Langford's in jail now, that's a start.

They didn't need it in the first place either, all banks were made to take money regardless so a bank like Chase couldn't then advertise, "come bank with us, we didn't need help". They wanted to pay it back sooner and the government wouldn't take it back right away for the same reason...

You made an assertion and then failed to back it up. It is indeed fact but it just as easily could have been a typical fark comment.

/then you got bent out of shape

I spoke the truth and was called a liar. If someone is gonna do that, they are the ones that better come up with citations.

Paid back with interest and a premium on outstanding warrants (not the kind you understand). On money they never wanted in the first place. The average idiot like you just doesn't have a clue what happened last year. Unless you care to explain an interest rate swap contract.
