Until our female celebrities start wearing panties again, I doubt this product has the industrial-strength filtering required for the American market.

I can't wait to start convincing noob pot smokers that they can get higher if they drink the water.

Or they could keep all their used panties in a zip-lock bag.

When I was in high school, I once convinced a kid that this was true, so he did it. The best part was that it was after I packed him a bowl full of McCormick Italian seasoning.

This is nothing new. They've sold these water filtration systems for a few years. They even had one in an informercial for the home that you poured some perfume in. You dumped the water out every so often and of course it was nasty grey in the commercial. Link to YouTube

That seals it. I'm going to go buy one tomorrow. I miss the one that I gave away after I finished university.

Buddy of mine built a hookhah into his car. If you opened up the ash tray, a bowl and two mouth pieces would pop up with auto-retracting tubes. It was totally awesome... until you needed to clean it.

One of my first jobs was car detailing.

The dealership would buy a nasty used car (so they could reap a large profit) full of dog hair, (or puke) and then have us clean it. It reaked of dog hair musk.

They had this way of removing the smell though, about just long enough for the person to be content with the smell, and a couple weeks later (especially after a good rain) the smell would come back.

They had an ozone generator and you'd leave a hose propped in the window for a day or two. I'd always feel bad for the poor bastards that ended up buying those cars.

If only cars came with a built-in filter for the built-in dashboard air ducts powered by the built-in airflow fan.

They do, honda and toyota came out with them awhile ago. Not sure if serious, my sarcasm meter has been off lately.

clevershark 2009-11-03 08:55:17 PM
I bought my car 6 months ago and it's still got new car smell. Perhaps it's because I like my car and I don't treat it like some sort of a purse.

clevershark 2009-11-03 08:57:03 PM
Also, to my co-workers who have children, clean your farking cars. No one wants to go to a company lunch amid the reek of kiddie puke, and you're not ever going to convince me that you can't smell that stench.

mypalmike 2009-11-03 09:08:52 PM
I was hoping there was a way to get that skank out of my car.

nytmare: If only cars came with a built-in filter for the built-in dashboard air ducts powered by the built-in airflow fan.

You mean the ducts that pull air into the car from OUTSIDE? Yeah, that really should have a strong impact on the lingering funk INSIDE the car from the things that have been in it. It should also do a great job on the pollen that comes in through the windows.

Dashboard air vents do not work that way!

I bought my truck 15 years ago, and it's now got that "one quart of transmission fluid in the cab" smell...

/Along with old McD's french fry's, farts, belches, other dirt, playa dust, etc. "smells".
//I like my truck, too, which is why I've kept her this long.
///The smell and the holes in the headliner and seat are character marks, damnit!

Antilope 2009-11-03 10:47:39 PM
Of course you know this device will turn farts from a gas to a liquid. It's just easier to open a window.

MrBentor 2009-11-03 10:59:55 PM
But what about the stink you leave in the seats?

/I am a flatulent man!
//You are unlikely to want to ride in my car.
///That's not new car smell is it‽

Sometimes nature just makes that happen anyway. You just hope that you're not in the car when it happens.
