I look at that picture and have a Pavlovian need to say,
"And also with you".

Peter King was there?

Oh geez, now that the much ballyhooed Packers/Vikings game is over with, is the only thing we are going to hear about now is Favre's groin?

Probably for at least two more weeks (since there's no game this weekend, and the Lions aren't likely to show up the following weekend.)

Last year it was Shiancoe's groin, now it's Favre's. Got something you wanna tell us, Brad?

This week you will hear about Miami v. New England (Brady! Brady! Brady! Wildcat! Wildcat! Wildcat!), Dallas v. Philadelphia (ZOMG! Romo! Jerry Jones!) and Pittsburgh v. Denver (which is probably the most interesting game of the week).

I know it might be hard to handle, but it's a huge story and you have to be prepared for the sports media to be thrusting it in your face, over and over and over again.

If Childress was dressed like this in his presser, then Favre needs to worry. A lot.

I'm tired of this constant stream of Favrelattio that is always in my face when I watch ESPN. I get the gist, okay, Favre is famous. Haven't we all gotten a bellyful of that by now?

Somewhere, Peter King is masturbating furiously to this article.

Weren't the Jets tearing it up last year until Favre got hurt?

Although looking at the schedule, they have a bye, then 3 home games against marginal teams. He might make it to December healthy, and there's only one cold game on the schedule.

Marginal is a huge understatement. Home vs Lions then Home vs Seahawks? I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I'm going to be disappointed if they aren't 9-1 in three weeks.

I mean I like Favre as much as the next guy, but there are just some things we really don't need to know.

All that and Favre should only have to play 5.5-6 quarters in that stretch for the wins if the Defense (Winfield) can stay healthy and contribute.

Heck no. Favre's groin is going to be coming at you from all angles, morning, noon, and night.

I'm going to be a little sad when Brett Farve's groin is healed and we stop getting these headlines about Brett Farve's groin.

Brett Farve.

Oh certainly 9-1, but the Bears will make a game of it. I don't expect the Bears to beat the Vikings in the Metrodome, but Favre is going to be pretty sore after the game.

And then there's Soldier Field on Dec. 28. If Favre is playing hurt going into that game, you can't like his chances of coming through that in good shape.

Actually they were tearing it up last year until Favre forgot what color jersey he was wearing. If he really was too hurt to throw the ball to his own team why was he out there? Given how much he loves to hear Peter King and the rest of the media flacks permanently camped out on his jock talk about how tough he is why didn't his injury get noted on any of the weekly injury reports? Even as much of an asshat as Mangini is does anyone think that he knowingly sent an injured Favre out on the field with his job hanging in the balance at the end of last season? I've got bad news for the Viking fans out there, Favre played his superbowl last Sunday and he is not concerned with taking this team to the real one. He will torpedo this season soon enough and then repeat his annual off season dog pony show again over the summer.

I don't think you understand. We're not talking about just any groin. We're talking about Favre's Groin. It's like a kid down there. It's just having fun.

You know, the media may or may not be obsessed with Favre's groin, but there is zero question someone on the Fark staff is.

I always love how the announcers obviously pull a thread out of their ass about ten minutes before kickoff (Wildcat, Brady, etc.) and continue to talk about that the whole friggin' game, even if the game goes in a completely different direction.

/mute button, thou are my friend
//picture Aikman pulling a thread out of his ass

Ok, I was commenting in the thread without having seen the video. Having seen the video... that was a creepy press conference. There is no more disturbing looking coach in the NFL than Brad Childress.

Will this impact the FavreCam in any way? Because if they go to tape delay and put up those stupid black boxes over the naughty bits, I'm not going to watch.

Watching the way the Packers fans treated Favre made me think they were really low class. Favre didn't choose to leave the Packers, they didn't want him anymore. Philly fans are going to cheer their ass off for Brian Dawkins when plays against the Eagles this year. True class. :)

Go Philly! Ironic, huh?
