No, the strangest thing about this story is that the family didn't run and get a lawyer to sue the pants off of the produce company and Foxnews still reported it.
No, the strangest thing about this story is that the frog wasn't the species that is hounded by a female pig and kept saying "Jeesh" and Fox News still reported it.
I worked at a restaurant way back in the day. We'd very rarely find a frog or large snail in sealed bags of chopped lettuce. Always alive, for whatever reason.
Those assholes wanted her to mail the damn frog? Poor thing. I would have kept him as a pet.
So, new trick to get free produce in hard times?
Step 1: Collect frog, lizard, or spider from your front yard. Step 2: Stick the creature in your bag of lettuce, carrots, etc, and mail it off to the grocery store, or just take a picture like this lady did with a random frog from your yard. If they find this unacceptable, call them heartless animal killers so they feel guilty and give in. Step 3: Recieve coupons/vouchers for free food or threaten to sue. Win.

You set the frog free? Who told you to set the frog free? I didn't tell you to set the frog free. Why would you set the frog free?
