Wouldn't the Super Bowl be the Super Bowl of freedom?

FlashHarry [TotalFark] 2009-11-03 01:32:56 PM
she's trotting out jon voight. i love how these 'conservatives' lambast the dems any time they get within a hundred miles of hollywood, yet they roll out these hoary old d-list celebs whenever they get the chance.

"The only way they're going to listen is if real freedom-loving Americans come here to Washington noon on Thursday, look at the whites of the eyes of their members of Congress and say, 'Don't you remember, I told you don't take away my health care,'" she said.

That reads like a bad troll attempt. And yet, she's serious.

Bachmann has called for a rally Thursday at noon on the steps of the Capitol, starring such conservative luminaries as Jon Voight.

And a few other geezers that you thought were dead.

There's also the sheer irony of a party denouncing celebrities when they made one President and won't stop blowing his zombie cock, despite all evidence to the contrary proving he was a very, very bad President.

how can these conservatives afford to take off so many days of work to go to all of these rallies?

tnpir [TotalFark] 2009-11-03 02:43:21 PM
Dear god, it just isn't funny anymore. Bachmann, Beck, Palin, Limbaugh, Hannity, all these idiot teabaggers--it ISN'T FUNNY anymore. These worthless sacks of skin are the ones who are bringing this fading republic to its knees. The teabagger movement needs to be maginalized for the lunatic fringe BS "movement" that it is, and fast.

I LOL'd

She also repeated her new catch phrase, that "socialized medicine is the crown jewel of socialism. This will change our country forever."

Oh, let me laugh even harder!

i think they are all a bunch of maginas to begin with. we need less maginalization in the right wing.

What Capitol tea party?

I'm sure that on Monday Rush Limbaugh will be telling us about the "jillions" of attendees.

"This will change our country forever."

See, that's all it says. It doesn't qualify it as good or bad, it's just... change.

And I ask, my fellow countrymen, is all change bad? Is it only good when it involves personal garments?

I argue that it is not.

question_dj [TotalFark] 2009-11-03 03:14:07 PM
I'd teabag Michelle Bachmann.

10 bucks someone decides to get stupid(er) and has a unfortunate encounter with capital police and the secret service.

I think Bachmann has adopted the Sarah Palin method of speech/prepared statement-writing.

Just take a bunch of patriotic-sounding words and phrases, throw them in a hat, and pull them out at random while splicing in the requisite conjunctions and particles. Actual content is for commies.

The NFL is going to sue her. You have to say "The Big Game" now.

Super Bowl of Freedom?

Perhaps...if by "Super Bowl", she means "Raving Lunatic Orgy" and by "Freedom" she means "WHARRGARBL"...

Then, yeah, she's got it right!

Is there some provision for removing a Representative for diminished capacity? Like the basic psychological requirements to be determined fit to stand trial? There must be a minimum competency required. Is there a precedent for the removal of an elected Congress member that has obviously descended into some form of clinical insanity?
At what point does hyperbole become paranoid delusion - when should we start to question Bachmann's ability to separate reality from fantasy?

It's more like the Bud Bowl of freedom.

just playing the demographic odds against her social leanings, chances are real good that she doesn't love you back.

HotWingConspiracy: The NFL is going to sue her. You have to say "The Big Game" now.

you do realise how awesome this will be right? and if they dont sue welcome back the bar super bowl viewing parties since the nfl would have left their trademark unchallenged and therefor invalid and available to trademark.

you know how awesome it would be if I or another farker successfully trademarked "the super bowl" if the NFL failed to act on this? totalfark for everyone when the NFL has to license the name back.

Under Bush we celebrated our "Freedoms." Now we're down to just one "freedom."

That's sad. But that's a recession for you, I supppose.

And if I were there, I'd respond "OK. Deal. I promise nothing will pass that will take away your health care." Just like I'd promise there will be no death panels or killing grandma.

Then I'd sit back and watch them sputter as they come up with some other reason why the health care bill must be opposed.
