I just can't understand how some people don't think that Achtung Baby is an incredible record. I do however understand the argument for everything after that.

Loved Achtung Baby. Thought Zooropa was vastly underrated. Not a big fan of anything after that.

That being said, this tour was disappointing. The stage setup was amazing, but I have never seen them just seem to go through the motions like they did this time around.

Second note to Bono: Taking 5 years to deliver sub-par albums does not impress your loyal fan base.

True, but also understand that the model for music has changed. The majority of bands proliferating are seeking regional markets rather than national exposure.

And i'm just a dick because in Maine, the 'scene' is mostly something called "post hardcore" that soudns like someone executing a live bear with a chainsaw and has fans that look like this --> farking hipster (new window)

Excuse me? YOUR generation of record execs and big music pushed this music on us to make money. There are alot of really amazing bands out there right now, but they aren't main stream so you may have to dig a little to find some good stuff

There's more of it there than there is here, yes. But there is a lot here, too. You just have to actually do the discovery legwork yourself. (and the Internet aids in that task muuuuuuch more than your local ClearChannel station does).
