This guy's own twisted logic doesn't even make sense.

POX News = horrible insult.

Walter Cranky = affectionate nickname.

Dan Rather-Not = affectionate nickname.

Just last week I had Obama's service and volunteerism promoted on every single major network, including Disney and Nickelodeon.

Oh, the humanity!

Now this is always a slippery argument for us to make from the right, because we run the risk of being caricatured in the way the late Jerry Falwell was in the infamous "Tinky-Winky" incident. But with this ever-growing list...

Wow, you were THIS close to being self-aware of how ridiculous the never-ending parade of Neo-Con butthurt sounds.

Maybe, but the odds of them being Fox news watchers in the first place is just better than 1.3m/304m.

An onslaught of public schools teaching their students songs of praise for Barack Obama.

You mean that one school where none of the parents thought that the one verse about Obama was inappropriate until the Outrage Jihad got on the case? One is an onslaught now? I can't wait to inform my girlfriend that I had sex with an onslaught of women last week then.

But the difference now is that a Saul Alinsky-trained, William Ayers-influenced, Annenberg Challenge Board Member is now our President, and his influence, tactics and worldview

I got a Bingo before he even finished the paragraph. Sweet!

Additionally, Sesame Street is turned on by parents who want their children to be smart and think for themselves. Fox News watchers aren't really that type.

That surprises you? People still complain about the teaching of that Obama song that happened on February 27th, "There were no concerns or complaints to, during, or after the program. (new window)" and they started complaining, what, seven months? after the song was taped.

I say seven months since song was in February and the biatching started in September.

and the parents of Sesame Street aged kids are actually a hell of a lot less likely to watch Fox News than both the general population, and the 50% of cable news viewers he suggests.

Something I never understood:

I thought Democracies/Republics were about the majority's opinion (and how it evolves) dictating certain things like social norms and government policy.

If you're whining that 90% of every newspaper, every TV program, every movie, every piece of popular music, every institution of higher education, every scientist, every branch of government, etc... is suddenly against your set of beliefs, isn't that a self-validating and really fairly damning statement about the relevancy of your own ideology?

If the opening salvo of your argument is that the number of people who hold your views has become so tiny that there's nowhere you can turn without being confronted with overpowering presence of the other side, how does that help the argument that we should still listen to you?

The same way Fox got outraged over a school including Obama in a song sung by students.

...seven months after it happened.

...and without a single parent from the school having complained.

It's really hard to fill 24 hours with non-stop outrage.

We see them for what they are: bitter, pompous and desperate.

This from a man who just finished an epic rant about one line in a Sesame Street sketch.

The lack of self awareness is truly astounding.

They didn't even go to great lengths to hide that fact either.

I mean, come on... "Public" television?

... "Public" as in "Gubmint".

... "Gubmint" as in "Gubmint bad".

LivingDeadX1: Replace "Pox News" with "BSNBC" in that skit and shower in the outrage of the Left.

Y'know, for all the crap that MSNBC and CNN gets... it's only Fox News viewers that so fervently defend their station of choice.

Seriously, when has there ever been Leftist outrage over criticism of MSNBC? Even assuming there has been, how does it compare to the seemingly-constant ranting and raving of Fox News viewers?

skinny-lil-b 2009-11-03 02:18:59 PM
The message is clear, I can't even sit my kids in front of "Sesame Street" without having to worry about the Left attempting to undermine my authority. And don't tell me, "If you don't like it change the channel." There are no channels left!

and I'm being forced to keep my television on and force my precious little children to watch it. We should have never let the Obama administration take away our OFF buttons!

OF COURSE Sesame Street is VERY, VERY dangerous. When my boys were little, Bert & Ernie were living together. You expect the liberal commie homo-lovers to change? That's not change they can believe in.

/the Left
//are coming to get you

...except that two respected newsmen who have been tagged as "left" by the retarded right wing were similarly mocked in that skit. I don't see any lefties rushing to defend their honor or to claim that they've been smeared.

Just the aforementioned retarded right wing kvetching about.... puppets?

But do continue with your hypothetical ways in which you believe the "left" would act given a different series of hypothetical events. It distracts well from the retarded right wingers actually saying stupid things in not-at-all-hypothetical scenarios.

and this little gem:
Irony is a wonderful thing. Just as the Left elected the perfect Propagandist-in-Chief, their opposition (you and me) got wise, agile and pretty entertaining. With every lame attempt to turn our kids against us, we now call them on it and point out how ham-fisted, clumsy and square they are. The Left's worst nightmare came true: The conservatives are the hip ones.
