Gibb Brothers say Bee Gees are 'just like Oasis,' both bands have siblings prone to fighting and both play music that makes you want to plunge a rusty screwdriver down your ear canal

FTA: "He says, "They're just copying us. We've been through all that. To be honest I'm surprised they stayed together as long as they did and I think they've gone as far as they can together." "

I have no response to this.

I like the Bee Gee's. Doesnt care what subby or anyone else thinks. I did see them on Sunday morning this week singing live and they really do need to hang it up. Lawn etc.

This. One of the most underated in so many categories; singing, musicianship, songwriting, harmonies

This is the number one argument for Subby being a moron.

I thought the Bee Gees said they would be no more since Maurice died.

I love the pre-disco Bee Gees stuff, and still listen to their 1967-70 recordings all the time. Beautiful mod-baroque vocal pop.

I thought they broke up after Michael Hutchence died...?

According to CBS Sunday morning, who did a nice profile on them, they've recently gotten beyond that and are ready to start over.

This. Plus, many like the Bee Gees not knowing they wrote the song

Thanks, dude. I was hoping someone would do this. I was born in '75, so I know them as the Grease/Saturday Night Fever band, but I have a musician uncle who loves them. I figured their pre-disco stuff was pro'bly good, but never bothered checking it out.

Plus, some they wrote but the songs were sung by other performers
Yvonne Elliman, "If I Can't Have You"
Barbra Streisand, "Woman In Love"
Frankie Valli, "Grease (Is The Word)
Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton, "Islands in the Stream"

Admittedly they haven't done much since 2001, but they did have their moments in the groove before then...
