Who would have ever thought the Boss would be following in Fred Durst's footsteps.

Come on. Springsteen is a true working-class guy, fighting for the common man.

And you can't argue with his patriotism. Just listen to the chorus of "Born In The U.S.A.". When Ronald Reagan, the greatest president of the 1980s, wants to use your song for a national campaign, ummm... I think you're doing something right.

Yeah... seriously...

I mean, Durst had ONE good album in him (Counterfeit) so at least he had some modicum of talent in him at some point. Springsteen sucked ass right from the start and has yet to make one good album. Comparing the two is in no way fair to Durst.

Fark Bruce Springsteen. One of the most overrated musicians EVER.

==============================================

Only, apparently you and Ronny both don't understand the song at all.

It's not a patriotic song. In fact, it's downright opposite.

/Still the best damn rocker 30 years running.

yeah, if he is such a hard rocking blue collar guy, why doesn't he live up to his promises? I mean the loser canceled his concert at the Sprint Center in Kansas City last week over some bullshiat "family emergency" sack up douchebag, and play the farking concert.

Blue collar my ass, he's been drining Crystal out of the cracks of the asses of Eastern European supermodels for 20 years now. The last time he had a callous other from a guitar was when he was still Brucey Springstein and he had to jerk off because none of the guidettes would touch his oily ass.

I was there last night and found it interesting that in the nation's capital he didn't play Born in the USA. He actually didn't play a ton from that album in general. Played a lot of Born to Run though.

He did that here in Philly when I saw him on the 29th as well.

Not sure why it's news; he's in better physical shape than I am and I'm half his age.

Bruce can play a guitar.

I've never seen Durst pick up an instrument.

Thus then, Springsteen > Durst when it comes to talent.

Seriously, at least come up with a cohesive argument. If you just don't like him, that's fine, not everyone does. But your argument otherwise fails.

We all no that Durst is a lame douchebag, but Counterfeit was actually a good album. Sure, Durst went off the rails after that but at least he had one decent album in him before he did so.

Springsteen on the other hand has this rep that's completely unearned and out of proportion to his considerable lack of talent. His songs suck, his singing sucks and his blue collar schtick is hilarious when you consider that he's worth over $100 million.

BTW, how exactly is Bruce "overrated"? He doesn't over-charge for tickets to his show, he doesn't beat you over the head with album releases. He doesn't market his image. He is a sound technical guitar player, and his backing band is pretty solid.

I really would like to know. Someone, explain. He's rated right where he should be - an icon of the late 70's to mid-80's, rock and roll hall of famer, multiple platinum albums.

How is Springsteen's rep "unearned"? 65 million albums sold in the States. He hasn't done the "blue collar schtick" since the mid-80's, and that was a product of MTV, not Bruce himself.

I understand you don't like his music, but you can't argue with numbers and accolades.

He doesn't play it in concert anymore. I think idiots who can't figure out that the message in the song isn't flag waving jingoistic patriotism kind of ruined it for him.

Saw him in Tulsa last spring. At 60 the guy still rocks harder than most people half his age.

Okay, I guess it's my turn to feed the Troll. Hate him or not, if you come into a thread knowing it is going to be full of fans just to post inflammatory bullshiat like "Fed Durst > Springsteen" you definitely ARE trolling. You are just too stupid to know it.
