How about one of these?

...Technically it was a kit, but whatever...

No public transportation in Philly. They think they need a raise and increased benefits, ya know like everybody else is getting these days.

I merely hope that some day I will time, money, and skill to do something like this. Hell I'd settle for a regular kit car.

That F-35 car is cool and all, but the cockpit opens up the wrong way.

/Severe aviation nerd & pilot
//Really, really want either F-35 or Tumbler

Meh. I was hoping they'd finally gotten around to that flying car I was promised

FTFA: jet-powered, street legal "Flatmobile"

I don't know about British law, but somehow, 'jet-powered' and 'street legal' don't seem to go very well together.
A big flame coming out of the rear end of your car is a good way to get rid of tail-gaters.

That flat-car looks like a box with a head sticking out, just at the right height to enjoy truck fumes...

That wooden car is simply beautiful.

...depending on which side you're looking at.

Hey might as well get some firepower along with your transportation right?

That's a deathtrap if I've ever seen one. It's bad enough that my normal sized sedan looks like a tiny clown car next to the gigantic SUV's, but this DIY car definitely will work as a floor mat in a collision with any vehicle.

DIY or DIAF?

I know that's a cheap shot but sometimes I just can't help myself.

Vehicle regulations in the UK (new window) allow the production of up to 200 vehicles a year without the extensive regulation and testing requirements applied to mass-market vehicles.

Just an FYI

Regional rail is still running... but yeah.

That wooden car is awesome. The rest of those look like they're asking for trouble.

the wooden car has a 100hp engine. seems awefully underpowered.

Bob Dullam of Super Hero Hype spent between $50,000 - $70,000 building a life-sized replica of the Batman Batmobile Tumbler using nothing more than photos as reference. Every tool used was picked up at a local hardware store, aside from the engine.

Make it a 2 seater, put a geeky blond with big boobies in there and I'll be the one to fetch you wenches for a week

My truck suggested a new name for that vehicle.
