Well Duh.

They basically rolled on their clients and turned over scores of data to the U.S. gov't that they had promised not to turn over.

When secrecy is a major part of your contract with your customers...especially when violation of that secrecy can lead to financial loss or even jail for the customer....you're gonna piss off your customers when you suddenly change your tune and play ball with the enemy.

They'll be lucky if some of the "captains of industry" whose "hard earned money" they were guarding don't put out contracts on them.

Why the hell do you idiots all think that of 52,000 people, not a single one was a Democrat or a Libertarian or a Green party member? There's rich people in all three of those parties, and if you have any common sense or life experience, you would know that minimizing (read: dodging) taxes is inherent to people of all parties and of all wealth classes. I guarantee you of the 52,000 UBS named, it wasn't just rich, white GOP members.

Stop chasing the mythical male WASP who is out to destroy everything that's not male and WASP-y.

/not a Republican

There's a difference between minimizing your taxes and dodging taxes. Minimizing taxes is legal and ethical. Dodging taxes is illegal and unethical.

Oh I don't doubt that some of them were, but you gotta play the majority here. All mythology stereotypes hide a grain of truth

Not like the poor ones like it any better. They want to pay as little taxes and take as many government freebies as they can.
