I thought "Yo biatch, beer me!" was universal.

It mentions the Czech Republic but not how to order a beer in Czech? *epic facepalm*

In Japan, if you want a draft beer, you say: "Nama beeru kudasai" (beeru ippon will probably get you bottled, in which case, it would be better to say the name of the beer instead: "Heineken ippon kudasai". "Nama" means "fresh" or "raw" but in the case of beer it means "draft").

In Spain, if you want a draft beer, you say: "Una caña por favor" (cerveza will get you bottled). And don't forget to lisp the "c" and "z" in "cerveza" if you are in Spain (something I didn't really like about Spain Spanish).

That is all.

If I came up dry ordering beer in Germany, wouldn't I end up with three?

That guy's pronunciation wasn't too hot.

FTFV: "The Czech Republic consumes the most beer, followed by Ireland and Germany."

and yet the video fails to mention how to order a beer in the COUNTRY THAT CONSUMES THE MOST FARKING BEER

This is Slovak but I'm sure it's the same in Czech and the Polish may understand it as well: "Jedno pivo, prosim." (yed-no pee-vo pro-seem) It means "One beer, please."

There. Simple.

ultraholland 2009-11-03 03:00:46 AM
^BTW, saying "Jedno pivo, prosim." (yed-no pee-vo pro-seem) in an American accent would sound absolutely ridiculous, but you already knew that

"come up dry"?

Penis fart?

As for knowing how to order a beer in different languages... just grab the beer!!! Drop some money on the bar and drink away.

Korea: mekju chuseyo

OK, not the most polite form, but I don't hang out with the most polite people.

Yep, ordered a beer in all of those countries

Oh and if you want to order a beer in Ireland go up to the barman and say 'pogue mahone ma s'e do thoil e?'
again it means "one beer please"

I like Zane Lamprey's methods better. And he can order in more than 7 languages.

hogans 2009-11-03 12:29:37 PM
bonesdilligaf, Guinness : stout :: Budweiser : pilsner.

Just try any other stout, and you'll appreciate the difference.

Personally, I think they could improve this video with how to order *another* beer.

/Noch eines, bitte!

You might also want to know "oo-ay-la-vay-say" after drinking several beers.

/ just sayin'

A beer please.
Una birra per favore.
Cerveza!
Pivo, poshalista!
Ein Bier bitte!
Pivo, proshim.
Biere, sivvo plai!

Beerguy 2009-11-03 07:33:11 PM
In Germany it should be, "Ein grosses dunkles bier bitte!" Mach Schnell!!

Curt Blizzah 2009-11-03 08:06:30 PM
Isn't 'Fosters' Australian for beer?

Lemme try...beer, birra, bier, biere, cervesa. Well I got to six, and I'm pretty sure those will work in any country you really want to be ordering beer in anyway.

Beeru (Japan) and Beeah (Thailand) to add to your list.

Yes it is. And it's ironic because that's one of the main skills he mentioned.

один пиво пажалсто

Odin pivo paxalsta

One beer please. Don't hate on the Russian spelling... been a long time since i used it. Oh, and if you want vodka just replace pivo with vodka.

So basically i can just scream PIVO like Brando screaming "Stella!" and anywhere in the Eastern Bloc they know what I'm talkin about.

Nah, the second one is easy. Simply point your index towards the empty bottle or glass and rotate your finger a few times in a clockwise motion. If that doesn't get the job done, turn the empty container upside down and frown with puppy dog eyes.

There's probably one or two places in the world where this might get you shot, but it'll work perfectly everywhere else.
