Six months? Fark that. What kind of obligation does one have morally to show respect to a judge, or anyone for that matter that you aren't engaged in a mutually consensual relationship with?

Took place in Crystal Lake, and he beat on a pregnant woman. If the baby turns out retarded and his mom works at a summer camp, is their name Voorhees?

It's called being a member of society.

Wonder if he did the pimps prayer:
"Let us pray the Pimp's Prayer. Lord, please pray for the soul of this biatch and guide my pimp hand and make it strong, Lord, so that she might learn a ho's place. Amen."

He's probably getting more tail than a decent guy. Why is there a built-in self destructive streak in women?

I don't have a moral obligation to show respect to a grizzly bear, but I'm not about to waltz into its cave and taunt it like a douchebag.

Nice. I've been flicked off before, I didn't feel the need to imprison the person who did it. The issue here is how important and without reproach this judge (and most of society) thinks he is. OMG a lawyer got elected, as a member of society I think he's great.

He didn't waltz into the courtroom, he was being held there against his will (justifiably it seems) and was letting them know how he felt about it. No one got hurt, just people's misplaced respect.

Six months in jail for flipping off a judge?

Donte Stallworth killed a man while drunk driving and served 30 days.

I will admit that six months does seem a bit harsh, but contempt is a crime, and giving the judge the finger is considered contempt. But let's face it, he was going to jail anyways.

/Protip: don't piss of the guy who as legal authority to assign jail time to your sorry ass.
