It was a chilly November night in New Canaan, Connecticut. He knew there would be many more like this, and worse was on the way, but tonight Glenn Beck was filled with a warmth he had not felt since a chance encounter nineteen years before had changed his life forever. He dwelled upon that fond memory, his favorite memory, for a moment and smiled.
He calmly walked the perimeter wall that he had been forced to build ever since he began his campaign against the usurper who dared called himself President of the United States of America. It was a good wall, a strong wall. Four feet of the hardest stone Connecticut had to offer, topped with two foot wooden spikes. Many a socialist had met a gruesome fate upon the wall in their misguided attempts to silence the man who would soon awaken the American people from their terrible nightmare.
A familiar shape appeared upon the grounds of Beck Manor. As she approached, Glenn could see the eyes that had driven his passions. She had lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes.
"Michelle, you vixen. I had no idea you were visiting tonight. I will say your presence would be most... enjoyable" he said. He knew the line was bad. He didn't care. It worked every time.
"Glenn I have the most amazing news. Our crusade for the truth has taken a great leap forward. It's the New York twenty third Congressional district race. Doug has taken the lead, and is now openly praising you as his mentor!" she squeeled with an unholy glee. Her assistant immediately handed Michelle a bottle of water, and a small, red pill.
Glenn paused his gaze on the young assistant. Her long brown hair, her bright blue eyes. Her ample figure. He smiled again.
"It is a small step, to be sure. But it is the first of many. Soon we will be able to show the RINO's that their days are numbered, and the era of TRUE conservative rule is at hand. We will wrest control from the socialist czarist oligarhs and hold them accountable for their crimes. The American people demand it" he wharred.
"Oh Glenn. I knew from the moment I saw you that you would show the country the truth about the census, vaccination, macroeconomic theory, and a certain birth certificate" she garbled in response.
"Let's retire to the hall. I wish to celebrate this victory, and I would like you to celebrate with me. I will meet you there, I wish a word with your assistant."
As Michelle got smaller in the distance, the assistant's breath quickly hastened. She had heard the rumors, but never really beleived them. She told herself that she couldn't trust liberals and blogs.
She was quick. He was quicker.
Thirty minutes later he was all cried out, and reached for his phone.
"Doug. A lot is riding on this, and you know the terrible price of failure."
"Yes, Glenn. Of course. I will not fail you." Mr. Hoffan said with terror in his voice.
I'm two sides on this. One is I want this nutjob to win so the RNC fractures completely. The other side is I want the Dem to win so they go completely nuts. I'm not sure which one I like better. Either way is a win, since I don't live there.

"Good." The call was over.
Glenn Beck hadn't felt more alive in years.

I've met Owens. He's not much of a Dem. He's certainly not a progressive. My assessment? Meh.
