Are you suggesting that the sex pistols are the first and only successful conservative comedy band?

Anarchy in the UK! Oh, and buy country butter! Haha, fooled you!

you mean after calling their 199? tour "Filthy lucre" , declaring they have found a common reason to reform and it's our money and declaring back in 1977, they're not anti capitalistic: "The more the merrier"

... a bit late flogging that horse

See, it's not that I find that depressing, it's more pathetic than anything. What's really depressing is that they still headline major festivals, as if the youngsters of today can't tell the difference between Jello Biafra and Bon farkin Jovi.

Although to be fair, Bon Jovi is probably less of a sellout than John Lydon.

I got over that, lets see 1976 - 2009 = 33 farkin years ago. Isn't it about time you did?

I see the irony in everything Lydon. Its an English thing, he doesn't take himself too seriously unlike you.

All I take seriously is the pathetically low standards that we as a society seem to hold ourselves to. You attribute some amazing colbertesque status to Lydon that simply isn't there. He isn't funny, just a sad old hypocrit who is only famous for saying poop and bum on national television, and he's milking that cow for all it's worth.

And for your information, I am English, and so is my petty cynicism. Suck it, as they say in farkistan.

For crying out loud, the Sex Pistols never really took themselves seriously. The whole point was that it was all a joke. The whole point of the entire punk movement was that it was a joke.

I attribute a dickheadesque status to you. As for Lydon up the Arsenal! As for you, suck your own. You are english :) as you are spewing crap in a classically petty cynical i am an arrogant twat english kinda way.

I never really cared about them one way or the other until they rejected the rock'n'roll hall of fame invitation letter by sending it back covered in piss, but then re-recorded Anarchy for farking guitar hero. I'm not defending the hall of fame, that's bullshiat too. but either fame and money are bad, or its not. There is no in between.

I was never really a Pistols fan (preferred post-punk to punk), but this snarly shot makes them look like a really band

Give Johnny a moment you Farkers! He actually did some good for the industry in the day. Sid was a bit of a tool but worked it. Nobody tosses Mick Jagger for being a losser.

I know it's Tuesday now, but yes please.

And I know the Pistols are a punk version of the Monkees, but that is a fun little ditty with a sweet riff.
