Frown upon advice.

Eh. Final Straw is ok. Not planning on buying another Snow Patrol album again, but planning on tossing the album.

I've enjoyed all their albums.

Simple guitar, but awesome imo.

....And the majority of pop bands ARE talented musicians?

The deuce you say?

wow do they sell themselves short. simplicity does not always equal suck. in fact, its bordering on genius to achieve the feelings that "Run" can pull from listeners.

Nathan: Wait, then how were -- how were you playing that song?
Toki: Honestly, I was just hitting any note.
Skwisgaar: Yeah, me too. That's an old music school trick.
Nathan: Sounded pretty good.
Skwisgaar: Yeah, I know sounds pretty good.

Neither did these guys, and they did OK.

final straw is amazing
their recent stuff is pretty bad

i hadn't heard too much of their stuff before I saw them in concert a few weeks back. But now that I've heard more than their radio released songs I feel like I do with a lot of good bands...if I had the enough money I'd consider buying their stuff.

An Olive Grove Facing the Sea could be the saddest song ever. It's also very pretty.

Saw them open for U2 (I know you all REALLY hate them) and I thought they were great.

I liked them a lot for about 3 days ...

About 25 years ago I read an interview with Iron Maiden in some metal magazine, and none of them read music either--they played from memory.

In fact, only one musician I know writes music, and maybe two more can read it.

They probably spend as much time working on a song as they did picking out their name.
