i have seen this same "the honeymoon is over" article since like the third week of office. yes, when policy starts being formed, people start to disagree. this isn't news. this isn't even fark. this is filler.
Yeah, I never got the "Obamania" schtick. The only time I was "excited" was when he was beatin' Hillary up oneside and down the other Winter/spring 2008. I had been somewhat excited over Ron Paul, until I got a glimpse of the behavior of Paulites. In the end, though, I was excited at the prospect of having both McCain and Obama as candidates; I figured I could look forward to civil discourse and a hard choice come November. "Surely it won't be a choice between the lesser of two evils!" I said to myself.
Obama is great. He is a wonderful man who really cares about helping the American people. He is a deeply concerned, thinking person. He is probably the finest human being we have had as president in the last 100 years.
Sadly though, he is surrounded by crooks and assholes in Congress; Democratic jerk-offs who are running things and only look slightly human themselves because of the Republicans who are around them.
I don't think he has been all that dynamic in office.
That doesn't mean I'm a big fan of Rush, Hannity and Palin now though.
Yes, most people are probably over the "Obamamania" to whatever degree they had it. Only the GOP could take that temperance of enthusiasm as "Oh boy, they now agree with us!".
I've been pretty "meh" all along. Hope and Change are nice little slogans but are totally unrelated to reality. I expected a Middle of the Road Democrat who primary allegiance is to re-election and... hey look a Unicorn!
I wonder if they realize that an Obama who inspires thoughts of "meh" and "whatever" will coast to reelection over whoever they can dredge up to run against him.
How come GWB was a "strong leader" because he didn't pay attention to things like poll numbers and the popular vote and Rome is burning because Obama's popularity is around %50?
So why are these "honeymoon is over" articles always from right-wing sites telling us about what liberals are doing?
If liberals are getting so disaffected, surely some liberals would actually. . . Oh wait-- liberals have always been OK with criticizing Obama. For example, Olberman and Greenwald have criticized him on wiretapping, etc.
Of course, that didn't fit the right-wing "messiah" narrative, so now they are trying to work it in as disaffection.
Is this a repeat from every single month after he took office?
Is he doing too much again? Is he not doing enough again? Is the honeymoon over again?
Make up your farking minds. Whoever thought "change" would come quickly to the nation is an idiot. The constitution is designed so that change comes slowly and I personally like it that way, because the pendulum swings both ways.
Right choice for the country right now, and hopefully he'll try to govern from the middle and make intelligent decisions based on informed opinions not "gut feelings".
I saw a bumper sticker this weekend. It said "I'll treat your president with the same respect mine got." I believe this pretty much sums up the republican reasoning to their opposition to Obama.

And this coming from the same people who said if you didn't agree with the President you were Unamerican.
The "right" has been pushing out articles like this since day one; trying to convince people the President's support is weakening. It's pretty pathetic on their part.

Wait, are you telling me that sales of campaign paraphernalia have dropped off now that the campaign is over? This is big news.
