That's not a good job for an NFL quarterback, that's a good job for an Oakland Raiders quarterback. When nobody else will work for Al Davis, that's the best you can expect.

Of course, they won.

But he raised his QB rating to 48.3.

My grandmother could get a 48.3. And she's been dead for 20 years.

I have to admit, I have not seen the Browns play offense this year. The few times I've flipped over to a Browns game they were playing defense. Does Derek Anderson look as inept as Jamarcus? I know his rating is worse, but does it seem like it?

It's hard to be a Raiders fan.

YouWinAgainGravity [TotalFark] 2009-11-02 11:49:14 AM
The problem here is obviously the coaching staff. Al Davis has provided this team with top-notch receivers, one of the best offensive lines in the NFL, and a QB that would be a multiple-Superbowl MVP on any other team. All the coaches this decade though have stubbornly clung to their outdated, ineffective methods and rebelled against Mr. Davis out of sheer spite and jealousy. If they can ever find the right coach that will just listen and use the tools given to him, the dynasty will be reborn and the path to the Lombardi Trophy will run through Oakland once again.

He doesn't have the explosively spectacular ability to fail that Russel has. He is much more subtle about his suckage, such as a string of dropped passes and throw aways, with the occasional sack for a modest loss. Not terrible individually, but horrific when taken in aggregate.

The fact that the Defense is ALWAYS on the field didn't tip you off?

I haven't seen Jamarcus play this year, but I did watch all of the Bears/Browns game yesterday.

Anderson's biggest problem seems to be that he confuses his receivers' knees with their hands. He hits his receivers often enough, in the shins, in the feet, in the back, but darnit, they just can't hold onto the ball.

He really only threw one horrifically ill-advised pass yesterday, and that was in the 4th quarter from his own endzone. His other interception was because D.Manning did his best "Brian Dawkins the Flying Safety" impression.

If Warner has a 3+ turnover game next week, I'll have to concede that that song has voodoo powers.

You didn't miss much. I watched hoping to see the Bears fix some of the problems that destroyed them the last two weeks. They didn't. Closest 26 point blowout I've ever seen. Chicago's O line is really bad. They're as bad at run blocking as GB is at pass protection.

Good thing they picked up Michael Huff instead of Jay Cutler the year before JaMarcus. That move looks excellent in hindsight (as will grabbing Darius "Wow, did I just catch that?" Heyward-Bey over Crabtree).

Fun-fact: Crabtree has 11 catches through 2 games, Heyward-Bey has 5 catches through 8.

GQueue: The brilliance that is the Radiers offense (new window)

I wanted JaMarcus to throw to them anyways when I saw that.

It would have been perfect, the two receivers run into each other, fall down, and you see the ball sailing over them into the hands of the corner-back who nearly drops it because he's laughing too hard.

the nfl needs a buyers remorse policy included in contracts when signing rookies. the money spent on the 1-10 draft picks is completely retarded when compared to the quality of athlete they are investing in.

Have fun choking in watching the Broncos take your spot in the playoffs this year.

If I was a San Diego fan, It would be a pretty low rumble from me that my team had very close games against the worst QB not only in the league, but possibly of the last decade. Add in that Norv "the anti-alchemist" Turner has basically squandered away the best years of Diego's Hall of Fame RB with zero trophies or rings to show for it, and I'd actually be livid.

But since I'm not, I'll patiently bide my time for when the Chargers slip back into mediocrity.

No you wouldn't.
Tim Couch won 8 out of 9 starts while your porous defense was 31st* in the league (of 31 at the time). Guess who got all the 'credit' for the terrible season.

By the way didn't Romeo Crenell almost make the playoffs two years ago? Love his Coors Light commercials though.
Thanks for that, Stains fans/mgmt.
