The "best live version of the B-52s" doing anything is akin to the "best live version of cats farking".

Also, what slam dunkz said...

Stupid song is stupid.

This song always makes me want to drive through a shopping mall in James Bond's 1963 Aston Martin DB5. This is a good thing.

I always want to call this song "Cock Gobbler," for what I presume are obvious reasons.

/Yeah yeah...aisle seat, please.

Horrible, horrible song.

/said in the voice of the Indian dude in Office Space, in response to the old guy's telling them about his Jump To Conclusions Mat idea.

Really? Man, I'd nearly forgotten how god awful most people's musical taste was on Fark.

That was awesome. Thanks to submitter for sharing.

Came in to say...I dunno, something. But that pretty much nails it.

Always preferred "Legal Tender".

I agree. If you are going to do a remake of a song, DO IT RIGHT! (new window)

Same here, to the point where my ex G/F promised me that she'd somehow convince Cindy Wilson to call me on my birthday and make jellyfish noises.

Several decades later, I'm still waiting... Dammit, she *promised!*

I did once take a whiz standing next to Fred Schneider at a museum benefit, but that was not nearly as cool.

Heh... Now that I think about it, I remember making a genuine faux pearl ring for my G/F the day we went to a B-52's concert.

/ And yes, she did shake those honeybuns...
// And a strobe light figured in once we got home.

You had it right the first time... :)

Hmmm... She actually wrote to me recently... Hmmm... (scratches chin)

Don't let the chlorine in your eyes blind you to that awful surprise!

I catch tons of shiat but have always said Ricky Wilson's playing on that first album was underrated and deserved more attention than the temper of the times allowed. They were too gay, too new wavy, too sucky in most peoples eyes to even consider. The chunky-ness and attack on Planet Claire on that 4 string rig he plays through is kick ass. Dance This Mess Around has great, fat guitar work on it too.

/give me my shiat now

I don't get to dance very often... Basically it's limited to slamming, The Violent Femmes, and... The B-52s. How can one *not* dance to the B-52's? Dang! You'd have to be dead inside!

And here is reason #52 why you want to do Cindy Wilson.

chemical_angel [TotalFark] 2009-11-02 10:24:42 PM
I know it's akin to cheering for terrorists but I've always hated the B52's.

maxheck 2009-11-02 10:29:56 PM
Oh... wait. I forgot to mention Fishbone. Fishbone = dance, no question.

Possibly 'yes' when I was 17 - 20 ...

No worries. I used to have a lust going on for Xine Cervanca. But then who didn't? :)

I admit I'm old but I have to say that was wonderful. I love the B-52's, I always have. I dig those cats daddyo!

I'm not sure how that's gonna work for you.

Just kidding. For all I know you're young, handsome and studly. But this being Fark...

Wait... which shiatty video are you talking about? Dead Horse or B-52's?

Either way, your favorite band sucks.

THIS. So much so I think the band should have broken up after he died. Seriously, the world would have survived without Loveshack.
