Well the good news is that it appears they'll be headed for a 1st-round bye if they sustain what they're doing. I think, personally, that's Brett's best chance to go the distance (or at least get there) is to have a week of rest (plus a game or two where he only plays a quarter) to rest up his arm.

A fresh Favre is a really dangerous Favre. Hell, it's halfway through the season and he's still dangerous.

He just did what he used to do when he played for the Packers, tossed the ball to the guys wearing purple.

The announcers spend a significant amount of mouth time working on Rodgers' joint, too. Favre has what? 170+ victories, Rodgers has ~10. Which is less deserved?

I think most people feel bad for Rodgers since, well, it's not like he walked into Ted Thompson's office after the 2007 season and pointed a gun to his head saying "this is my team now, got it?"

Even Aikman was fairly critical of him especially in the first half for saying what we all feel; yeah kid, your O-Line sucks, but you got to chuck the ball away every now and then.

I dunno. This though I think it pretty damn funny. It kinda makes me like him now.

That's where I am. I grew up a Bears fan in WI, so I got so tired of him and the general adulation. Now that he's Judas in Wisconsin and everyone hates him, I kinda like him.

Favre? FARVE!

Killer Cars: Even Aikman was fairly critical of him especially in the first half for saying what we all feel; yeah kid, your O-Line sucks, but you got to chuck the ball away every now and then.

That is true. The game today was much more one sided with commentator love, but if you watched the ESPN Vikings/Packers game, it was a back and forth of slobbering on both QB's.

Rodgers appears to be very good. He needs some maturing on getting rid of the ball, working through his progressions, etc., but he's a second year starter. With the exception of one ill advised statement before Favre announced he wanted to come back last year, Rodgers is the only one in this situation that doesn't look like a dick.

Honestly Favre did Rodgers a favor by coming back. If he had stayed retired and didn't play for the Jets last year, etc. I don't think people would have been as forgiving of a 6-10 record last year. They would have been saying, "Just think what we could have done with Favre."

==============================================================

Kinda... it would have been more effective had he not totally imploded down the stretch. But the current Jets are looking bad, and the rest of the Jets now play for the Browns (Seriously, Mangini brought over like 1/4 of the team) and they suck too.

Really... the jets would have been nowhere last year without Favre. He hurt himself. Mangini should have benched him. I'm not sure if it was the fact that Favre is older than Mangini, or if Mangini honestly thought a very injured Favre would be better than the backup. I don't know. But it was stupid to keep him in. He was injured and did not play well.

But he's not injured and, well, you see what he can do not-injured. When he's healthy, good god is he good. 3 interceptions all season! That's simply amazing.
