I take it back, it might have a hint of that e in there, so I'd say it's more like "Or-eh-gone" but said quickly.

Maybe not better but certainly easier to pronounce (sondern auch einfacher auszusprechen). Kind of a silly reason to select a school- that it is easier to pronounce.
