I think it's pretty clear that Tom Cable has a temper. Why would any woman who has seen this violent side want to go on national TV to publicly humiliate the guy?

I know Madden has been hell on my DualShock controllers.

I loved the part where the one woman who said he didn't hit her was his former wife although the divorce filing said differently and Cable himself "admitted" that she was the one woman she in fact did it.

/Gotta maintain that five-figure alimony payment

That's my coach dammit! In relationships as in football it's about winning!

Now if he could just teach JaMarcus to hit things...like receivers.

So he's basically just going along with the usual Raiders image?

If this was a player, he'd be suspended longer than Michael Vick.

Ya think Cable has biatch-slapped Goddell into looking the other way?

I love his defense which is sure not to piss off any women's groups: "I've only hit a women once, and she totally deserved it"

I think Goodell is afraid that Al Davis might try to eat him.

FTFA: Cable remarried in May, according to a statement issued on Carol Cable's behalf by Tom Cable's attorney. In the statement, Carol Cable said she was the woman in Cable's house the morning of Jan. 6 when Lutz showed up unannounced. Even though Carol Cable told Alameda police that she did not see Lutz that morning, according to a police report, Carol Cable now says she heard her getting angry.

"I was present at Tom's house when Marie Lutz came to the house in January of this year," her statement reads, in part. "At approximately 5 a.m., we heard someone pounding very loudly on the front door and ringing the doorbell over and over again.

"When Tom opened the door, Ms. Lutz told him she needed to talk to him, that she needed his help, and begged him to let her into the house," the statement said. "After she entered the house, the two of them had a verbal exchange. At no time did Tom commit any act of violence toward her. After not getting what she wanted from Tom, Ms. Lutz screamed at Tom 'I am going to ruin your [expletive deleted] life and I am going to ruin your [expletive deleted] career if it is the last thing I ever do.' "

I wouldn't lie like that to a deaf stranger, let alone the freakin' press.

Goodell only drops the hammer on the people without options. There isn't anywhere the players could go and expect the same salary, so he has them by the balls.

I would say Art Shell, but he's been in a coma since 1976.

Some day, hopefully, Tom is going to go out and try to hit one of his defensive lineman.

I hope he's subsequently broken in half, and has to use a poop sack for the rest of his life.

Can't be Cable... seems kind of unpossible since his team would likely get their asses beat by a bunch of girls, not the other way around.

Maybe they should add Raiders coaches to this commercial that just played at the start of halftime here in San Diego...
